DIALOGUE AND HOW TO USE IT.

Right about now you should have a couple chapters finished and you are deep into the story. Your character voices should be clear to both the author and reader—or not. If you are having problems with your character voice the guilty spotlight should be shining on dialogue. The greatest tool an author has in their writing is dialogue.

When your characters speak it should reflect their mood. Any number of emotions can be expressed through dialogue from sadness to anger, love to hate, joy and sorrow, the list is endless. As a tool, dialogue can give your reader insight into the character, not just their mood at that point in time, but their personalities....
