I'm Ayn Amorelli, a Black Velvet Seduction spicy romance writer. My 4th book, Contract Bride, is a contemporary romance, which was on the best-seller list at Fictionwise.com for 6 weeks when it came out in May of last year.

It's about a confirmed bachelor who'll inherit a cool $20 million if he gets married and has a child within the year. Since it's March, he's in a bit of a hurry.

I also write Gothics under my pen name of Ayn Hunt, and my published titles are: Unwilling Killers, Obsessed, and The Haunting.

I'm a Houstonian, been married for 34 years and have a new grandson. My hobbies are reading everything I can get my hands on and researching history, which I majored in, in college waaay back in the early 1970's.

I never did get a college degree, even though I went back to college a second time several years ago. That last time, I got further along, got a heck of a good education, taking courses which interested me, but again, didn't get a degree.

I've been writing all my life, starting out in journalism. I then worked as a freelancer, writing articles for various publications, then finally worked up my nerve to tackle writing novels.

I try to write a book every 12 to 18 months, and usually make it. But it all depends on the characters in my story, and the amount of research I have to do. I'm a stickler for realism and accurate facts, but not much on graphic gore in my Gothics. I prefer to stick to psychological terror, which to me, is much more frightening.

In my romances, however, I'm been told I'm more than just a little graphic.

That's pretty much it. Thank you for having me.

Take Care,
Ayn

Hi, Karenne,

I'm so glad to be here. The publisher of my 4th book, Black Velvet Seductions, highly recommends your site.

It usually takes me a while to find my way around anything on-line, but your site is very easy to navigate.

You have a great group here, and I'm looking forward to being a part of it.

Thank you for having me.

Hi, Karenne,

I went into more of your forums today. You certainly have a lot, covering just about any topics a writer and reader could want. I can see why the publisher of Black Velvet Seductions (who published my 4th book) recommended it so highly.

It's great to be here!

Ayn

I'm glad to see that you are already getting around the site without having a hard time. Karenne did a great job of getting it well organized.

Thank you, Dani.

I've been exploring the site, and there's something for everyone here. I love it!

Contract Bride had a lot of good reviews. It is a little graphic but one reviewer said, it gives women hope. (Both main characters, Kayla and Bob, are very complicated people).

Thank you, S.J.

I have excerpts of all my books on my site, in case you'd like a preview. I write mainly about ghosts and very spicy romance. I'm seriously thinking about doing a book combining the two, but need to get through some current projects first.
