Like a lot of people, I occasionally google my own name, just to see what pops up. Yesterday I received a couple of pleasant surprises.

My novel showed up on two separate bestseller lists on Amazon. The first is a list of bestselling new science fiction series. The Mars Imperative is currently #35 on that list, surrounded by Star Wars, Star Trek, and Dr. Who books: http://tinyurl.com/24ocfd. (http://tinyurl.com/24ocfd)

Then I looked at the other list, of bestselling new science fiction adventure books. On this one, which includes Star Trek books, Star Wars books, Niven's Man-Kzin Wars books, books by Cordwainer Smith and Andre Norton, and all sorts of others, The Mars Imperative is ranked #62 at the moment: http://tinyurl.com/yvl6sf

The lists change hourly, so no telling where the books will show up when you look at the lists, but still! (I do have PDF files of the pages for posterity....<g><g><g>) The lists show the page the book is on currently, so you may have to page up or down to find it as the rankings change.

That is wonderful!

Hmmm...I never googled my name. I should do that...kind of afraid of what I might find though.:err:
