I'm off to the Melbourne Cup on Friday - the race takes place on the following Tuesday - and I'm pondering how to choose the race winner.

You know for the past 12 years I've been placing bets on the Melbourne Cup since I turned 18, I've picked the winner or one of the places in all twelve years.

Good thing was my dad used to float horses all over Australia and that's I learned so much about racing. I usually go on past form, and the jockeys.
