Below is an excerpt from Chapter 3. ENJOY!

She stood at the vanity table watching me carefully. She seemed nervous to me. She walked over to the windows that overlooked the street. I walked over to her and stood behind her.
Payne, she began, Im not sure whats going on with you right now. Im a little too busy right now with work and the book to really think about the complications of tonight.
I was a little stunned. This was new for her. She had never really voiced the obvious. I guess she had changed a little. I went to stand behind her. She turned around and looked me in the eyes. There was confusion and sadness in her deep blue eyes, but there was also love.
I hugged her to me. I had missed the way she fit in my arms. Her head came up to my shoulders and it rested nicely there. She looked up at me and I bent my head and kissed her. I was hesitant; she was hesitant. But the sparks were still there.
Before I knew it, I was desperately unbuttoning the white silk blouse. There was an urgency to the first time we had been together in eight years. She unzipped the back of her skirt and stepped out of it. I was awestruck. She was still as beautiful as I remembered. She was in better shape than she had been in college, if that was possible. She had rowed for Fairfield and had an unbelievable body then, but now it was astonishing.
I had missed her underwear. It was always something out of a lingerie catalog. Her bra and panties always matched. It was a compulsion of hers. Her collection of lingerie included a variety of different under-garments. In college I had been more experienced in bed, but she clearly knew her way around a lingerie store. She explained the difference between camisoles and teddies and everything in between. She had a collection of camisoles that probably took up an entire side of a walk-in closet. Beyond being the first woman I knew to actually regularly use a garter belt, she had been the first woman I knew to wear a thong. While everyone wears them now, when we were in college it was a rarity. She was always ahead of the crowd.
We had moved slowly over to the bed and before I knew it, she was pulling me down to the bed with her by my tie. Next thing I knew she said, I think you should know Im not much into casual sex.
Im still wearing a tie, how can it be casual. She laughed and smiled.
Lets fix that then. She pulled the tie off and we fell to the bed.
