Grey's Lady is an ARe

Cafe Recommended Read:

"This sexy little romp was an erotic temptation that left me wanting more. I loved the heroine’s feisty nature...Grey is a hot and demanding hero. He follows his heart, giving in to the demands of his desire when enflamed by the dance Beth leads him on." ~Lady Rhyleigh historical book reviewer for ARe Cafe on February 8th, 2012

What can bring a ruthless, powerful gentleman to his knees?

Grey's Lady was honored with the "Reviewer's Choice Award."<o:p></o

"Grey's Lady is the wickedly hot first entry in Natasha Blackthorne's Carte Blanche series. Set in Philadelphia in 1812, when society's rules dictated that a woman be chaste until marriage, this book focuses on a woman who is quietly determined to own her sexuality and make her own rules. With likeable characters, frank and occasionally bawdy dialogue, Ms. Blackthorne's book captured my attention from the first page..."Reviewed by Rose of Two Lips Reviews. Rating 4.5

Grey's Lady was selected as a "Top Pick" by Miz Love Loves Books:<o:p></o

"...the contrast between them is sumptuous dynamite. Dark, light; virile, feminine; rich, not-so-rich; big, small. Smoldering. The sex scenes are indescribably arousing. Particularly a scene with a costly pearl necklace. I’ll say no more about that, only to promise this little feast of amor is steamy, steamy, steamy..." Miz Zampa of Miz Love Love Books Feb 29, 2012

Satin's Bookish Corner gave Grey's Lady Five Stars and her special award for Hotness!:

"I'm gonna give Natasha an extra award for this book, because it has everything in it, romance, passion and so much more. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and tell you all to read this book. I know the Lady's I talk to are going to love this book. BUT this book is not for under 18's, be warned it very steamy in places and young people really should not read it, but for all you kink bags out there, then go a head. its GOOD!!!!!. lol."

"Grey Sexton is bored with his life. Something is missing but he can't single out what it is. Nothing excites him anymore until he encounters Beth McConnell's gaze. The air seems to sizzle when his eyes meet hers and he feels a connection with her. He can see everything he is feeling in her eyes and it draws him to her...A very emotional read...I look forward to more of Beth and Grey's dance toward a happily ever after together." "Smoking hot from the start, the first exchange between the main characters is 'My goodness…it’s so hard, isn’t it?'…Those looking for a quick read full of
passion and undeniable attraction are sure to enjoy this steamy novella." ~ Kendra of JERR (http://www.justeroticromancereviews.com/book-review.cfm?bookID=988435948&reviewID=8579&sNav=nav03-02) (Just Erotic Romance Reviews)

Chapter One<o:p></o

<o:p></oPhiladelphia, PA<o:p></oSpring, 1812<o:p></oGrey couldn’t keep his eyes off her. Philadelphian women were the cream of the Republic, but damn if this one didn’t exceed all previous definitions. Curling wisps of hair escaped from her indigo bonnet and trailed down her graceful neck. He’d never seen hair that colour—like champagne shimmering in the moonlight.<o:p></oShe looked up, giving him his first full sight of her face. Sky blue eyes, full of aching, longing…and something else. Abject sadness. Haunting. <o:p></oSomething caught in his chest. Something reminiscent of pleurisy. Well, it wasn’t surprising. Philadelphia air was notoriously insalubrious and the day was oppressively damp. He blinked, glancing away. Was he losing his wits? Haunting eyes? What romantic nonsense. If he didn’t know better, he’d think he was getting a fever.<o:p></oHe glanced at his pocket watch. God, time was crawling. He’d arranged this series of lectures to entice potential investors, and last week in Boston had been most profitable. However, today, Mason’s Bookstore was packed with adolescent boys who sat with their mouths agape listening to local captains recount tales of privateering glory. His own speech on how and why to invest in a voyage had been met with yawns and bobbing heads. What a waste of an afternoon.<o:p></oShifting in his seat, he sensed her gaze. Lingering. Burning him. Against his will, he turned back to her. Those eyes seemed to reach across the room, directly into him, to touch his emptiness.<o:p></oWhat a fanciful notion. His wits must be addled.<o:p></oShe didn’t drop her gaze, as a modest woman might. Instead, she appraised him, boldly weighing and measuring. A hint of her tongue flirted along the seam of her pink lips. Her eyes smouldered as if she’d read his every erotic longing and fantasy in his face.

Grey's Lady

By Natasha Blackthorne

Book one in the Carte Blanche Series
Seeking sexual excitement and conquest, poor but beautiful Beth seduces wealthy merchant prince Grey Sexton, only to find herself the pursued as he seeks to own her body and soul.

Flouting the moral standards of Jeffersonian America, temptress Beth McConnell lets no man touch her heart. Her motto is love them once and leave them burning.

But when she boldly seduces Grey Sexton, a self-controlled merchant prince from New York, she finds herself too fascinated by his ice-over-fire nature to stay away. His possessive determination to own her, body and soul, threatens to expose her secret erotic life to public shame.

But Beth will only surrender her love to a man she can trust. And Grey's materialistic approach to relationships leaves her little reason to believe he can ever give her what she truly needs.

For these two cynical yet lonely people, can deep sexual intimacy work a miracle and lead to the opening of their hearts?
