I have been looking for months for this one, saw it originally at B&N.....

It's about a Briton girl back when the Romans were occupying. She is sold into slavery by her father to a Roman. It's all about her life.

Ok, that's not much to go on. I know. but the cover was all 'Old World'y and I believe it was Trade sized. I now carry a little notebook for titles!

Thanks!
Heather

hmmm....I don't know that one but it sounds great. I hope someone knows about it.

I know what you mean about carrying titles around now. That is why we started this area because I had forgotten a couple myself!:-*

The only book that remotely comes to mind is Bertrice Small's To Love Again but the Hero is Saxon and the Heroine's Grandfather gave her to the Saxon but the woman's rival sold her to slavers after giving birth to a girl.....

smilies/bump.gifCan you give anymore information about this book? Is it romance genre? History Genre? Autobiography? Give us anything like that? I had a few hits on a certain search engine but I can't really tell because no genre. Anything else you can give me for info would be great!

Marius has been stationed on 60 AD Britannia for sixteen years. Once a celebrated hero and a famous Praetorian Guard, he still clings to the old traditions as a fair but tough leader to his men, despite the shame that drove him from Rome.

Delia is sister to an uncaring Corieltauvi tribal king. Powerless, she watches as hundreds of Bretons succumb to their suicidal pride and throw themselves against the unstoppable Roman machine. The last thing Delia expects is to find her body craving the touch of her enemy.

The sudden intensity of their desire will change the history of a country.

Separated by fate, they are thrown into the clash between 80,000 angry Bretons and a clever Roman general with only 10,000 soldiers. Marius and Delia find themselves on opposing sides, in love, and unable to stop the future. The revolution that sparked their desire...could now destroy them both.

Heather,
Can you give me the genre of the book? Is it romance? Autobiography? History? I know you are not sure the title and it sounds like a romance but also sounds like it could be a autobiography or history book, " It's All about her life". I just need some more info so I can try to get the search down some more.
Thanks.

Heather, do you remember if it's a romance, a mystery, or some kind of fiction or non fiction book?

For a title of a book it is necessary to know that whether it is a mystery book or a thriller or a romance.

I read a paper back a couple of years ago, Highlander/Historical Romance and CANNOT remember the name or author. It sets out with an English woman who needs help and she claims a highlander as her husband...there is a part where they are on horseback and go through mountains and such...then the highlander tricks her into marrying him...he gets a priest to marry them and the highlander doesn't tell her that they're really getting married. Sub plot/story--there is a little boy who is kidnapped? Anyway it was the very first historical romance that I ever read and I couldn't put it down. I'd love to remember the name! lol...Thanks for your help!
