In THE CONFIDENT WOMAN, Joyce Meyer draws on her decades of experience interacting with and ministering to women. The message in this book is also the result of her personal journey from insecurity and self-hatred to a confidence through which she is realizing her full potential.
Through Joyce's classic clarity and practicality, you will learn how to overcome all obstacles to live a bold, victorious life. She explains that true confidence is faith in Christ and comes from being open to learning. She reminds us that "women are a precious gift from God to the world. They are creative, sensitive, compassionate, and talented."
Joyce gives women the keys to identifying barriers to confidence, explores the empowerment that comes from preparation, and outlines the steps to independence through dependence on God. She explores the seven characteristics of a woman with confidence, which include a woman who knows she is loved, who refuses to live in fear, and who does not live by comparisons, "if onlys," or "what ifs."
An exciting, meaningful, and intentional life awaits every woman as she learns how to live beyond fear and begin living boldly. God is anxious to light the way and supply every need for walking with confidence.

In a role reversal that is what has happened with my boyfriend he was one of those picked on and verbally abused nice guys that do not get violent but also get stuck in a situation where he won't hurt his wife but cannot figure the best way to get free.... with help and separation and long distance he got free over a year ago and divorce is finally almost complete.... she was the one that did not file though she would take everything he had and he was out of the country working so he could not file until he came back over the holidays ... she did not want to spend $500 for a divorce but would call him in Europe and yell at him to hurry and get the divorce.. the day he filed he found out his wife had been with one of his best friends for the last 6 months while he was away working it killed him that night he was so hurt...not about the wife he could care less but about his best friend betraying him like that and they were at a dinner when his friend told him.. MEN can be hurt too so even though that book is written for women in certain circumstances I think it can pertain to anyone in those situations with just the added gender twist.. that is a good book and thanks for bringing it to our attention.

I never particularly cared for Joyce Meyers. I am sure her book will be a good read though. She is an intelligent woman with lots to say, I just don't care for her delivery. She reminds me of the "fire and brimstone" religious experiences I had as a child in the church. And she does't smile very much, she appears to chastise quite a bit. Maybe we need it. LOL
