Swamp Cups:
1 .6-ounce package red sugar-free low-calorie gelatin dessert: raspberry, cherry, or strawberry (makes 8 servings)
1 1/2 cups boiling water
3 drops green food coloring
1 1/2 cups club soda or sparkling mineral water
Ice cubes
4 drops blue food coloring

Assorted Horrors for Decorating Swamp Cups:
Giant Gummy Worms
Betty Crocker Shark Bites Fruit Snacks
Gummy Dinosaurs
Green and Orange Miniature Marshmallows
Cinnamon Graham Crackers, broken into quarters to resemble tombstones

Parent Prep:
Completely dissolve the gelatin in the boiling water in a medium-size glass bowl.

Call The Kids:
Help your child add the green food coloring (concentrated slime) to the gelatin. Pour the club soda into a 4-cup glass. Help your child add ice cubes to the clubs oda to make 2 1/2 cups altogether. Help your child add the blue food coloring (witches' potion) to the water. Very carefully add the bubbling blue witches' potion to the gelatin and help your child stir the mixture until it is slightly thickened. Spoon the mixture into individual see-through plastic cups (about eight 8-ounce cups). Each child can add assorted horrors to his or her own cup. Chill until set, about 1 hour.

Getting into the spirit huh? I'm going to have Halloweenish recipes in my October newsletter, but my drink isn't for kids. The cookies are though. :)
