I love westerns, romance or otherwise...and I've got a great one coming out in a couple of weeks, so I thought I'd drop by and ask ya'll to particpate in a chat about your favorite heros. :TroutSlap:
Mine is a Lakota Sioux Warrior/Shaman who is drop-dead gorgeous...and very compassionate, intelligent and well, body-by-adonis. :) He is great with kids, loves flaming red hair on a woman [my heroine] and is brave beyond belief.
Okay, what about yours?

Now, this is my idea of a perfect hero! :):notworthy:Please let me know what you think. Deborah MacGillivray did a beautiful job on this!

Hi Diane, that's a gorgeous cover and yep, I could take him home. I have a historical western coming out also with a sexy Irish bridge builder. I wanted to try something different from the traditional cowboy, but he still has all the ethics we love about cowboys.
I confess, though, my favorite is the cowboy, the sexy loner who would go to great lengths to keep the heroine safe.

I do love westerns. Diane Davis White's hero truly is yummy--both the cover and the story. She really put heart in that book.
My next book is a contemporary western and the hero is a rodeo clown and bullfighter. He's gorgeous, a charmer, but daring--maybe more than healthy. Okay, a lot more than healthy.
I have a couple western short stories out, too.
For me, I think the real attraction of a western hero is their inner strength, because let's face it, wienies just didn't make it, and still don't. As the saying goes, "Cowboy up!"
