What is your all time favourite cocktail, and why?

I haven't tried many so I'd like to see what you all out there thing of them.

I'm looking forward to hearing your responses!

Oh and if you don't drink alcohol what is your favourite type of coffee/drink and why?

I love to drink a Fruit Tingle cocktail because of the colour it turns where the Blue Curacao is mixed with red cordial.

I think that's the one thing that appeals to me about cocktails the most, I just love that you can get so many different colours with them.

The Fruit Tingle sounds interesting :) Thanks for sharing!

My current favourite drink is Tankhouse Ale (http://www.millstreetbrewery.com/beers_tankhouseale.htm).

I like a good single malt scotch on occasion.

I'm such a guy. ;)

Thanks both of you.

I like the lime touch Hollie :)

I've not got a taste for beer at the moment although I do like a single malt - I've got three different varieties my partner has bought me on the shelf currently. Though apparently I've always loved whiskey.

As for cocktails well I think I'm going go and explore a list and see how many I can make with the ingredients I have - umm...research ;)

I'll let you all know how it goes but please carry on with comments and suggestions!

I have a few favorites even though I rarely drink.

One is a Banana Banshee. It's made with one shot of creme de cocoa (dark or lite your preference), one shot of creme de banana and cream usually made on the rocks. Talk about yummy! I prefer it with dark creme de cocoa and instead of creme I use ice cream and make it into a milkshake. It was the first drink with alcohol that I was allowed to have, it was sweet and I loved it.

Next is the Mudslide (http://www.webtender.com/db/drink/1309 Mudslide), which is pretty easy to make too, but I don't (I let the pros do that...LOL). The last is a Midori Sour (http://www.webtender.com/db/drink/5438 Midori Sour). Oh, talk about yummo and the color is beautiful. It's a bright green and tastes great.

Kamikaze is another good cocktail you can either have vodka in it or Southern Comfort mixed with Triple Sec and Lemon Juice.

Experiment away all (although in moderation of course!). The suggestions sound great.

I was looking online for coffee names and recipes, and discovered this great site for cocktails I have just spent hours sitting watching the guy making them.

Even if you don't drink it's interesting to see what goes into the drinks and how they look when he's finished with them (mixing them I mean)

Have fun!
