The diagonal slant of this stockinette binding is made by decreasing at one edge and increasing at the other.

Method
Cast on 10 sts.
1st row (WS) P.
2nd row K1, k2tog, k6, m1 knitwise, k1.
Repeat 1st and 2nd rows, ending with a 1st pattern row.
Bind off purlwise.
