1/2 cup shortening
1 cup pumpkin
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp.cloves
1 egg
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
2 cups flour
1 pkg. mini choc. chips (opt)
1 cup raisins (opt.)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. WitchypotstirMix ingredients together and drop by teaspoon on to ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool.:wub:

At this point, you can frost them if you want to be naughty.
These also can be baked in a muffin tin for an awesome breakfast treat.

ok i'll be honest i've never had pumpkin keep thinking about it but never been brave enough to try it

you can send some of that heat here it is freezing in the UK i just got all the winter bedding out to air for the kids beds

I made a batch last weekend for some friends who came over to watch football with my husband. When they left, there were 3 cookies left! They are so good! But I am a bit biased! lol

You just use plain old canned pumpkin. Not the pumpkin pie mix! Look in the baking section of the supermarket. It's usually with the pie filling along the bottom 2 shelves.
