"Tamela recommends it for anyone who loves a fantastic tale of romance and magic. I have always enjoyed a good tale and Keta sweeps the boards with Dust and Moonlight. The story has everything---sorcerers,wizards and time travel, just enough of the fairytale essence to capture your attention from page 1 and hold you spell bound until the very end.

Her characters are warm, enchanting and believable. The witty and believable banter Keta employs between the characters places the reader right into the midsts of the novel. The vivid imagery makes every moment more and more vibrant.

My kudos to Keta for her brilliant work of art!"

"This is a book that combines time travel, romance and mythical lands all in one story. I have always enjoyed time travel but this was a twist where it wasn't to a time or place that we recognize (past or future) but more of an alternate world. Kira is caught up in tracking down criminals in our world and is suddenly transported to an alternate world where her father was originally from before being transported to this world. There is the usual twists as in a romance - boy and girl meet, fall in love after denying their feelings for one another, or at least Kira for Balion. This is definitely a book worth checking out."

<o:p>"Fantasy lives in all of us. We long to be carried away to an extraordinary world, contrary to the one we live in. In Dust and Moonlight I've tried to do just that. Join me in a journey where magical powers and true identities are concealed, where an ordinary woman is thrust into a mystical land that threatens her very existence. Kira must rely on conventional wisdom to stay alive in this alien kingdom where wizards, sorcerers and evil reside. Well, conventional wisdom and a wee bit of help from her deceased grandmother who practiced witchcraft in her day. When she meets Balion, Prince of Locke Cress, she discovers cosmic love, a love that crosses all boundaries and withstands the test of time. Live the fantasy, believe in the magic, and join Kira for the adventure of her life . . . and yours. " ~Keta~</o:p>

Set up and Excerpt:

Kira, the heroine, is trying to get back to Providence, RI. She has fled from the deacdent prince and finds herself in a cavern with an wild beast -- a spotted cat.

She recognized those numinous orbs now. Even in the inky blackness of the cave, it was as clear as the fingers on her hand. Garrick! She smelled the feral cat's primal heat, felt the warmth of his breath as he circled her like the great predator he was. There was nothing in the cave to defend herself with, no sticks, no steel pipes this time, and foolishly, she'd left the spear behind. Kira's short life flashed before her. She saw her mother's violet eyes and her father's strong, resolute jaw.

She sent a prayer toward heaven. "Let it be quick."

The beast advanced, his long white fangs gleaming white and deadly as he opened his mouth and roared. Mighty front paws clawed at the air as he moved in.

He could have killed her in a heartbeat, but Kira sensed, sickly, he wanted something else from her first. It drifted over her, under her, around her...hot primal lust. She was going to be sick, up-chuck her breakfast right here in front of that beast. His paw (minus the claws) reached out and scraped her cheek. Unadulterated hunger emanated from every pore in his furred body. His golden eyes burned with desire.
