As I'm here waiting for the big chat today to kick off, I thought I'd sneak in another Copper Age update. I've not really explained here what Copper Age is about. It's a creative collaberation - art, and words primarily, but we dabble in other forms - music, video, spoken word... anything we can is fair game. The core of Copper Age is myself, and artist Tom Brown. It was all his idea, but I've been along for the ride for some time now. There are others who may become involved.
There's a piece about how we got started over at www.myspace.com/Brynneth_N_Colvin (http://www.myspace.com/Brynneth_N_Colvin)
We will have a web comic out soon, and then, all being well, things on paper. I know for a lot of people, the word 'comics' conjures images of something niave, childish. Men who wear their pants over their tights. However, comics are a medium, not a genre and its possible to tell all kinds of stories using pictures and words together. Including romance and erotica.
Copper Age is adult, dark, gothic, full of fantasy.

There's now t-shirts with Tom Brown's fab art on - over at www.zazzle.com/copperage (http://www.zazzle.com/copperage) and we have a newsletter (a weekly thing) http://groups.yahoo.com/group/copperage

Tomorrow the webcomic launches - I've been working on this for years and its very exciting to finally see it happening. In the meantime, I have this neat tentacled avatar, ideal for use on social networking sites... feel free to borrow it! I've seen a few people using it on twitter already. It would be great to cover the internet in tentacles for the Copper Age launch.
Anyone who has signed up to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/copperage by the 14th will get a free pdf short story - Annamarie - about a young witch.

And it's up! www.itisacircle.com (http://www.itisacircle.com) please do drop by and have a look. The artwork (by Tom Brown) is stunning. It's gothic, and moody, and there are strange creatures! We're all over the internet today, blogging and chatting. I'd particularly like to direct you to http://thepaganandthepen.wordpress.com/ (http://thepaganandthepen.wordpress.com/) - an excellent site, with a good many pagan authors on it and articles ranging across a lot of different topics.
If you want to get involved with the launch party, www.itisacircle.com/blog (http://www.itisacircle.com/blog) has all the links on it - I'll add more as they come in.
