True, I just had a Reader's Retreat here in March where we focused on my B*E*A*S*T* series (http://beastseries.blogspot.com), but that doesn't mean the discussion has to end! :shifty:
Post any and all comments and/or questions you might have about B*E*A*S*T* right here!

After Wade, will there be any others?

After Wade, will there be any others?
Good question. I haven't decided yet. I know for a fact I'll need a break from the BEAST books, since I've been having a rough time getting Wade "just right". However, for those who haven't read Rogan's book, I *do* introduce a few more shifters.
I wanted to leave myself the open door of possibility that I COULD come back to these books if I wanted to, but I also wanted to wrap up the series in case I'm really finished. When I write books, I write what intrigues me, what I'm inspired to write. When you are writing a book simply to "make money", that's when I think the quality of writing goes to pot.
A lot of readers have documented this with their favorite authors. How many times have you grumbled because Jane Q. Author's new books aren't as good as the books of yesteryear? Probably because she's now writing books to make money, not because they're springing from her heart.
So if I ever write another BEAST book, I want it to be because I miss the stories and have another damn good plot to tell, not because the series is popular and I know it will sell like hotcakes.
The short answer is "Maybe, but I'm not making any promises." :shifty:

Hey, no problem. I want any books after Wade to be just as well written as the first three. So take your time. I'd rather wait months, even years for the next B*E*A*S*T* to come out than read one that doesn't have full heart. Does that make sense?

It makes perfect sense, and I'm on the same page (no pun intended) as you. :p I wouldn't want to write another sequel if it didn't have "full heart" either. :)

:( Release date change, ladies. Wade's book will NOT be coming out in August. I just couldn't pick the book fast enough from my brain before the deadline passed me right by. So my publisher has given me more time to finish the book, and it is now slated for a December release.
Yes, I know, disappointing, but hopefully, if I finish NATURE OF THE B*E*A*S*T* in a timely manner, Champagne Books *might* publish it early, but don't count your chickens. I just thought I'd let you know, in case you were waiting with bated breath for Wade's book at the end of summer...
HOWEVER, in the interim, I will be having a book released in August from Champagne Books, PROMISE ME FOREVER, a straight contemporary romance about a widow with three kids who falls for the "wrong" man. :) So, this stormcloud has a silver lining.
The book releases were switched in order to give me more time to make Wade knock your socks off. :P

I can't wait for Wade's story. I love the cover. And on another chat, you said that the three B*E*A*S*T* covers look like bookends side by side, you are so right. *smile*. But they are still absolutely gorgeous.

Becka, I will patiently wait for the other one in December, but the one you have out now with Champagne sounds interesting

I'M ALMOST DONE WITH WADE!!! :D
You have no idea what a relief this is. I should be turning it in within the next few days to a week. ACK, Wade's had a long journey. Now, I can only hope his story doesn't totally blow chunks. lol

Out for blood, blindsided by passion--when Wade falls hard for Covington’s daughter, will he exact his revenge upon the man behind B*E*A*S*T*, or have mercy for her sake?
NATURE OF THE B*E*A*S*T* - Coming December '07 from Champagne Books (http://www.champagnebooks.com)
Are you ready for Wade McAllister?
