The Many Layers of Romantic Suspense June 1-15 Romantic Suspense has become it's own genre, neither truly "romance" or "suspense." How can you find your voice when romantic suspense is all over the map? Is there a formula? Are there any guidelines? Sexy or sweet, dark or light, violent or tame, romantic suspense is a vibrant genre that can be blended with any other genre to create something a little new and different. Some of the topics we'll discuss: the romantic suspense triangle (hero, heroine, villain); series, trilogies, stand-alones; pacing & conflict; villains; and research.
