  1. I am a multi published author and I write mainly erotic, paranormal romance. Although, really, I just write whatever my characters tell me to. I live in Northern Ireland, where although the scenery is fantastic, our weather leaves a lot to be desired. My natural habitat is the bedroom with a notebook, a cup of tea and copious amounts of chocolate. I'm scatty, disorganised, and easily distracted, so come say hi!

  5. My name is Nancy Adams. I am a full-blooded Canadian, right down to the maple syrup running through my veins. I enjoy watching hockey and eating Poutine, usually at the same time. I have no problem driving for 6 hours for a weekend trip and I will throw in the occasional French swear word into a conversation. I have a three small addictions, bed lines, lavender, and books. All of which, is replenished on a regular basis. Reading into the wee hours of the morning, is one of many bad habits, next to spontaneously rearranging furniture and randomly painting rooms in my house.

Writing is a new passion for me, which began with ‘Hobby’ writing courses dating back to 2008. I don’t show favoritism against any genre, and when writing I just go with the flow and write what I want to write. Although, you will find that my books are a combination of many different genres and all have a hefty dose of erotic romance and usually a laugh thrown in for good measure.

I have two books published with erotic romance publisher Total-E-Bound, No Matter When is a Historical/Futuristic/Time Travel romance, and The Soul Within is a Contemporary/Paranormal romance. My next book The Bannockburn Spell is due for released with TEB in Nov/Dec this year.

I am currently working on a Paranormal/Shaper-Shifters Romance set on the coast of Vancouver Island, British Colombia.

  7. Welcome to my corner of the coffee shop. I like my coffee with a dash of cream and shot of Irish Whiskey…Tullemore Dew is my favorite…when I can’t have Irish Coffee, I prefer Earl Grey tea. I write Irish Westerns, Medievals…and more. I published my first book, THE MARSHAL’S DESTINY (bk 1 in my Irish Western Series) with Avalon Books in 2001 and my tenth book, TYLER, released from Sourcebooks on March 1st. Both are Irish Westerns (I like to take my Irishmen out west and get them into trouble). I have a Medieval Trilogy with DCL Publications, the third book in the trilogy will be going into print this year. For my full book list, check out my website

About me…as a romance author, I've finally found a way to keep the voices from driving me insane...I put them in my stories. Now when the people in my head argue and wake me up, I'm not worried because I know they are characters from my current works-in-progress...and if not, they soon will be! I like to use family names in all of my stories. The castle on my home page is the ancestral home of my Purcell relatives in Tipperary, Ireland. All of my heroes have some of my husband’s best qualities: his honesty, his shoulders, integrity, his compassion for those in need, and his killer broad shoulders. I’m a sucker for a man with broad shoulders.

  12. Having written as Amy Gallow for over ten years, a reasonable question is why I would choose to change, especially as I will continue to write romance under her name (with at least one book contracted and another in preparation)? The answer is that I want to go places where Amy’s friends might feel uncomfortable, even though a strong romantic thread runs through all my stories. Places like the mind of a veteran of WWI, the French Foreign Legion, WWII and Korea, or that of the longest serving Chinese detective in the Victoria Police on the eve of the execution of a Chinese miner convicted largely on his investigation and information gained while he and the miner shared a pipe of opium in July 1875, and that of a British Naval officer convicted of sodomy in 1815, but hung because he knew too many things embarrassing to those in power at the time. They are works in progress and one is already contracted to Eternal Press, another is in the submission process and I am deep in research for the third. There are others in the pipeline, waiting their turn. All a little different from anything Amy might write, even though she has my gratitude for giving me the services of editors, publishers and reviewers as I learnt my craft. Website |

Besides dodging hurricanes, I love living in America. My husband was offered a position in Florida, but we both know, we only moved here for my writing career. I am the sub-genre queen. I write historical paranormal erotic romance novels. Say that five times fast. LOL. I like to bring something different to the readers and I have a reputation for spicy scenes, to say the least. 17.  I started writing when I was about twelve. I'd just read one of Elaine Mitchell's brumby books (not the silver brumby series, one of the others) and I hated the ending. So I did what seemed the most natural thing to do--I rewrote it <g>. I haven't stopped writing since--though I have to admit, it's only in the last fifteen years that I've seriously thought about getting published. To date, I've completed a total of seventeen novels, (not counting the rewrite of Elaine Mitchell's!) although the first three will probably never see the light of day. I thought they were brilliant at the time, but looking at them now, I can only shudder. I still think the ideas are great, but basically, all three books would need to be entirely rewritten. Maybe I'll get back to them one day, when I have the time and nothing else to write. I'm a member of RWAustralia, the Princess Lulu Regrets crit group (don't ask about the name, because it's just unexplainable <g>), the Sock Monkeys, and the Monkeylint support group.  Learn more at my web site!

  18. A Caribbean transplant, Avril now lives in Brooklyn, N.Y with a tolerant Spousal Equivalent. Together they raise an eccentric daughter who loves reading and school (not so much school anymore). Avril’s earliest memories of reading revolve around discussing plot points of The Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys with an equally book-minded mother

Always in love with the written word, Avril finally decided to do the writing in August of ’09 and never looked back. Spicy love scenes, delicious heroes, and wicked women burn up the pages of Avril’s stories, but there’ll always be a happy ending; Av remains a believer of love in all its forms.

Now she gets to see what's its like on the other side of the book fence when her paranormal romance, Antique Charming, is released through Books To Go Now Publishing this fall and her contemporary romance, Change of Address, will be published in January 2012 by Secret Cravings. In addition to her love of books Natalie also has an uncharacteristic love of hockey which can be attributed to the fact she was born in Russia. Natalie now resides in the UK with a collection of Victorian and Edwardian era photography- her favorites being the post-mortem photographs.

  24. Hello all!  I'm a new author who loves both romance and adventure stories.  My writing heroes are people like Tolkien and Patrick O'Brian, whose worlds are fantastic places to be and whose action scenes leave you biting your nails and on the edge of your seats with tension.  But I've always felt that what would make their books *even better* would be a romance between a couple of the heroes.  And I adore Jane Austen - she's my romance heroine - but I can't help wishing there were a few duels or naval battles in her books. So mine are an attempt to have both!  If you too like a bit of action with your romance, or a bit of romance with your action, then hopefully I can help you to have your cake and eat it :) Visit My Web Site

  25. Will has always been a storyteller, but only recently started writing them down. The focus on erotic romance was an easy choice for the man who has always considered himself both a throwback to the warrior poet ethic and an extremely sexual being. Will admits to being an incorrigible flirt, but he also can be quite serious at times. He is always seeking feedback, diverse points of view and the adrenalin of a new experience.

I’ve saved a seat for you at our best table, so grab a cappuccino and a slice of cheesecake and share your thoughts on North Star- Book one in the Sheridan series. In NORTH STAR, Caresse Aldana is chosen to persuade Psyche's dangerously handsome editor-in-chief, Graham Sheridan, to feature an article on Mason Community Center, she tells herself it's just business but he's just the man to prove her wrong and make her his own. NORTH STAR takes inspirational themes of family bonds and community involvement and gives readers a passionate romance. Not a damn thing, which is what makes Mychael Black an interesting bird indeed. Born in north Alabama, Mychael now resides in north Mississippi. 32. I've been writing many, many years, but didn't get published until 2003.  I love books that ground you in a familiar world, but still offer elements of the paranormal (vampires, wizards, shape-shifters cursed dukes, etc.).  My heroes all tend to be Alpha males who strongly believe they need to protect the women who enter their lives.  Though they may admire the heroine's courage and even understand her need to be strong and independent, they always think they know what is best for her.  More often than not, they are wrong, and it is up to the heroine to help them recognize their mistake and slowly change their attitudes.  In the end, the hero will usually be willing to compromise, to an extent, and may even admit he is overly protective, but he can never really change his attitude since his need to protect is so deeply engrained in him.  The heroine comes to understand her hero's faults, and even grows to love him more for having them.  She learns the best way to get around her domineering partner is simply to love him and offer her love back freely in return. She has been the best selling author of the month at Whiskey Creek Press on two occasions and is always in their top ten. Recently she has been writing romantic suspense for a hardback publisher – Robert Hale Limited – and has had super reviews. A visit to her website at www.margaretblake.co.uk is well worth while.  Margaret has been married over thirty years. She has one son and three gorgeous grandchildren who, with their beautiful Mom, live in Florida. It is great to be able to visit them but would be better if they were closer.  Margaret likes nothing better than curling up with a good book, unless of course she is writing one!

In his professional life he has worked in the garment industry for the past 15 years. At least until he can write full-time. 40. Adrianne Brennan is a romantic dark fantasy, paranormal, and science fiction author who stumbled into her love of writing by accident at the tender age of ten when she was given a creative writing assignment for her science class. The end result was her writing a brief science fiction comedy featuring numerous puns regarding vegetables. Once the writing bug bit, it bit pretty hard, and from the age of fourteen onwards she worked on a lengthy fantasy novel.  At this time, this fantasy novel is still a work in progress as she continues to focus on her other works.  An avid reader, Adrianne has been most influenced by various science fiction and fantasy authors including Madeleine L'Engle, Roger Zelazny, Laurell K. Hamilton, LA Banks, Yasmine Galenorn, Michael Ende, Neil Gaiman, and Alan Moore. Like her main character from Blood of the Dark Moon, she professes a love for Iamblichus and Greek philosophy. 42. Hi everybody. My name is Cara Bristol. I write contemporary erotic romances about alpha heroes and sassy heroines. I’ve worked as a newspaper reporter and public relations manager, but writing erotic fiction is the most fun I’ve ever had. I want my readers to have as much enjoyment reading as I do writing. My first two erotic romances, “Intimate Submission” and “Secret Desires” have been published by Black Velvet Seductions in an anthology called, Spanked! I’m currently working on a series of erotic domestic discipline stories…watch for the Rod and Cane Novella series. My characters are fun, my writing style is light, and the sex scenes are super hot. I do tend to push the envelope little. I’d love to hear from readers. Join me here on CTR, on my Wordpress blog, Facebook or Twitter.

  49. Hi! I'm a freelance writer from New York City. I write in several genres, but publish erotica as Gianna Bruno. Sorry to be so mysterious, but in order to indulge my wildest fantasies, I have to work incognito. My erotic short story "Hot Chocolate Kiss" was published by Eternal Press in January 2010.I was thrilled to receive five star reviews on Amazon, with readers enjoying the magical realism and down to earth nature of the characters. Seriously Reviewed said my writing was "quirky," which is true, and the trailer was one of the six selected for their April "You Gotta Read" contest. My erotic paranormal fantasy The Journey was published by Eternal Press in December 2010. Now I'm working on a sexy seasons series for the spring summer and fall  adventures of Rick and Keela from Hot Chocolate Kiss. I've even come back to reality with my contemporary erotic collection At Home With Peter and Sandra, about a couple in the suburbs of everywhere trying to reinvent their relationship. It's five flames and I'm having a great time writing it. Join me at my Coffee Corner table for the latest news. Website | Blog | Twitter

  51. Welcome to my lil’ page about me and my muse.  And my muse is quite active these days.  My first love of romance came in the form of Silhouette Romance novels.  Those lil’ bits of heaven made me hold out for the love of my life.  And yes, I found him.  We’ve been together for over 20 years, 15 of them married.  Our two sons keep us very busy.  In all of these years I never stopped reading and in the last few years I found the time to follow a dream of become a romance novelist.  Now that has been a fantastic ride.  Creating people, worlds and steamy, sexy happily ever after’s.  I like my heroines to have spunk and wit, and my heroes to have a need for the women that fall into their lives.  I love all things paranormal.  Time travel romance is something I think we’ve all read at one time or another.  And let’s face it, erotic romance is like an addiction.  You know you shouldn’t, but you just have to.  I read it all.  I write it all.  Sit back, search my forum and enjoy what you find.  I’m an honest person who finds many things funny and I often have to lug my mind out of the gutter.  Visit my myspace

  54. Hello and welcome!  I'm Alison Chambers and I write romantic suspense for The Wild Rose Press.  My latest novel is called "The Secret Sentinel" and debuted in May.  For a blurb and excerpt, please visit my website.  I was once Vice-President of an association management company in Wisconsin and have traveled extensively where I handled public relations, marketing and management.  I first started writing when I was a teenager, sparked by an interest in Nancy Drew books and a desire to tell a good story.  I like to keep my hero and heroine in dangerous situations against a backdrop of exotic settings, lost treasure and unsolved historical mysteries.  I have written six novels and besides writing, I enjoy reading (usually read 3 books a week, one romance, one non-fiction, one book on writing skills), playing piano and Green Bay Packers football.  But I want to know what you like!  As fellow readers and authors, tell me what's the biggest turn-on for you in a romance novel and the biggest turn-off?  What kinds of things make you either love or hate a story?  What makes a page-turner?  I hope to learn from you and have a fun discussion about our loves and hates in the romance world! 55. I began writing fiction seriously in 2003 and have written four novels (and started three others) since then. My first two science fiction novels (The Mars Imperative and The Tesserene Imperative) debuted in 2007. The third (Sunrise Destiny) has been sold and should appear in late 2008 or early 2009. The fourth (My Other Car is a Spaceship) is currently making the publishing rounds. I also write nonfiction and had a book on computer technology published in 1995, and I ghost-wrote three chapters of another nonfiction book about computers in 2005. I also write a regular column on writing and language for Mike's Writing Newsletter, as well as a blog on the subject. I love talking about science fiction/fantasy, computers, writing in general, and—of course—my novels. Please join me.

  71. Maya DeLeina was born and raised on the beautiful and romantic beaches of Oahu, Hawaii. Relocating to Colorado, Maya's crystal blue oceans and powdery white sands were traded for enchanting forests, mystic mountains and golden plains of promise. Living just on the outskirts of Manitou Springs, the town's history of spiritual healing, eclectic flare, fabled underground tunnels and rumored lore of wizardry and witchcraft rekindled Maya's love for the paranormal, metaphysical and most of all, vampires. One bite and she was hooked. With a hint of incense lofting in the air and the majestic Pikes Peak sitting in picture perfect view from her windows, Maya can be found relaxing in the recesses of her comfy couch, sinking her teeth into crafting and weaving seducing and erotic tales of vampires that may or may not roam her beloved town. One read and you'll be hooked. Website | Facebook |

I started writing romantic fiction as a kid when I discovered Phyllis Whitney and Victoria Holt and fell in love with the romantic suspense genre. I wrote my first novel as a pre-teen. It's tucked away in some drawer somewhere never to see the light of day. An avid reader, I soon expanded my writing genres to include contemporary romance and romantic comedy. 85. My name is Justine Elyot and I like it hot. My full-length debut 'On Demand', published by Black Lace, is an erotica bestseller in the UK and its follow-up, 'The Business of Pleasure', published by Xcite Books, follows in its scorch-marks. I write about kink, D/s, fetish, menage, voyeurism, exhibitionism, partner-swapping and more - but always with a romantic agenda dictating the edgy action. If you like to be thrilled, amused, shocked and, of course, turned on by a story, come and join me in my group. I write for Black Lace, Xcite Books, Total E-Bound, Cleis Press and more. Website

  92. They say when you're not looking for love, it finds you and when it needs to be heard, it finds the right person to become a messenger.  I believe I am one of its messengers.  Everyday I fall in love with love.  When I write romance short stories, I live and breathe all of its parts.  I want my readers to be completely immersed in its delicate embrace.  The words come to me like a thousand paper boats from people that are falling in love, folded with all their hopes, dreams, and wishes, and I try to interpret those feelings and show them what they would look like on paper. I short stories and novellas.  All my stories are original full length romance fiction. I enjoy writing about romantic encounters, chance meetings, lost love, found love, intimate love, and inspirational love. My characters are derived from  my readers character requests,  people watching, business travel, vacation, magazines, and pure imagination.  When I'm writing I play music, environment sound CDs (storms, ocean, wind), and scented candles. I a work on three to six romance short stories at one.  The ones I'm currently working on are:Executive Wife,Malibu Girl,Intimately Yours,Because of You, Connect my Dots, and The look in her Eyes. You can read the preview chapters on my author site

THE GOOD SISTER, a contemporary romance, is her first full length release.

In her spare time, Amie enjoys gardening, photography, and old black and white movies where the hero always gets the heroine.

  98. Sydney-born Donna Gallagher decided at an early age that life needed be tackled head on. Leaving home at 15 she supported herself through her teen years. In her twenties she married a professional sportsman, her love of sport -- especially rugby league -- probably overriding her good sense.

The seven-year marriage was an adventure. There were the emotional ups and downs of having a husband with a public profile in a sometimes glamorous but always high-pressure field. There were always interesting characters to meet and observe and even the opportunity to live for a time in the UK.
Eventually Donna returned home a single woman, but she never lost her passion for watching sport, as well as the people in and around it.

Now happily re-married and with three sons Donna loves coffee mornings with her female friends, sorting through problems from the personal to the international. But she's on even footing with the keenest man when it comes to watching and talking rugby league.

Donna considers herself something of a black sheep in a family of high achievers. Her brother has a doctorate in mathematics and her sister is a well-known sports journalist.

An avid reader, especially of romance, Donna finally found she couldn't stop the characters residing in her imagination from spilling onto paper. Naturally rugby league is the backdrop to her League of Love Series, published through UK publisher Total-E-Bound, spicy tales of hunky heroes and spunky heroines overcoming adversity to eventually find true love.

  99. I began writing romance as a relaxation from a 24/7 career and found it an enjoyable escape, especially after winning first prize in two national competitions and a five book contract with an Australian publisher. Life beyond a professional career suddenly seemed possible, even when the publisher insisted I become Amy Gallow. Fourteen published stories later, Amy has written paranormal, historical and contemporary romance, plus magazine stories without me losing one iota of the zest that triggered the end of a professional career. A film rights contract for The Widow-Maker has grown into the shooting of a promotional trailer for the full length feature film and introduced me to both, the uncertainties of the Australian Film industry and a writer’s responsibilities to produce character breakdowns for casting of the actors. It is fascinating to see figments of imagination become living, breathing individuals—even if they look nothing like the mind pictures that drove their creation. It’s doing the rounds now, trying to drum up enough finance to shoot the whole film. I signed the contract for my fifteenth story at the end of May and it will be the first one under my own name, opening up a whole new chapter in my writing. Visit Amy's Website

  100. Hi.  Welcome to the Coffee Corner of award winning, best selling (USA Today Bestseller List among others) author Samantha Gentry.  Come on in, grab a cup, kick off your shoes, and relax.  We can talk about whatever you'd like.  My reading tastes are eclectic.  I enjoy all sorts of books, both fiction and non-fiction.  However, I have to admit that once I started writing I found myself reading more non-fiction than fiction because of my research into various subjects.  My writing is a little more focused—erotic romance (contemporary and suspense), contemporary romance, romantic suspense, and mystery.  As time permits, I'm trying something new by working on a couple of paranormal stories.  In addition to my ebook releases written as Samantha Gentry, I also have a backlist of 21 novels published with Harlequin Intrigue and Silhouette Desire under my other pseudonym.  You'll find the list on my website.   On Sunday mornings I post a new blog and have several contests each year on my website (usually something to do with movie trivia).  Stop by and leave a comment on my blog about the current weekly subject and don't forget to enter my website contest. 104. I read, I edit and I write. That's my life. Well, apart from boating in beautiful British Columbia, and growing orchids and playing in the Caribbean surf in Costa Rica, my half-time home. I just can't quit because I love it all so much. My writing style has changed over the span of my career  from sweet and tender (because that's all they wanted way back when)  to hot and sexy, and now, in-your-face erotica, along with paranormal (no vampires or werewolves), and fantasy--that means things like sea serpents and genies.  But whatever it is, it's Romance with a capital R. Reviewers like to say my books are humorous, but that's never been my plan.  I think I just have a mildly twisted way of looking at life. Well, okay, maybe not "mildly', but that's probably a matter of opinion. I mean, why shouldn't a genie hide out in a plastic gas can drifting in the ocean when his bejeweled bottle gets broken, crashing into shore. He had to have a house, didn't he? Any old jerry-can in a storm... Though most of my books have been print published, I believe electronic publishing is the future, and that the future is here, which is why I've been focusing on that medium exclusively for the past few years. Many of my print books have been rereleased, and my new ones are all electronic. Visit my Website

  112. Hi, I'm Cat Grant, writer of erotic romance. My first novel, an erotic tale featuring a m/m/f menage a trois entitled THE ARRANGEMENT, will be published May 5th, 2008, by Lyrical Press. I've been writing off and on ever since I was old enough to hold a pencil. I've poked around in many different genres. I've written fan fiction, tried my hand at fantasy and horror, but in the end I came back to what I enjoy most - writing about the intimate relationships between men and women, and how love doesn't always happen the way we expect. Check out my website and my blog for news about my upcoming projects.

  117. **SMOKIN’ HOT HEROES**   **HUNKY, ALPHA MALES**
No, you won’t find them here - but you will find them in my books!  Alpha rules in the House of Greyson, baby - no betas allowed!  I am a writer of historical and contemporary romance that always stars a hot hero and a touch of humor.   My creativity flows in all directions so don’t try to put me inside of a box.   I won’t stay.
My first release, a historical novel – Heaven Scent - was released in May 2012.   My next will be a contemporary romantic comedy out in late 2012.  A contemporary romantic suspense waits in the wings for 2013, with a follow up to my historical out a few months after that (See what I mean?).  My stories are fast-paced, full of emotion and, you guessed it, hot men (yes, I’m obsessed).
I love talking with readers and writers – I just wish I had more time to do so (I’m still trying to track down the thief that continually steals hours from my days).  Lighthearted sarcasm is a staple in the House of Greyson so bring a few jokes and a few hot men and you’ll always have a place to hang out.

  121. Kaily Hart, a seemingly straight-laced mother of four, left corporate America and a high-powered, lucrative career to be a stay at home mom. That lasted about four weeks, during which time she realized she had a deeply repressed dream to write— and romance at that! Who knew? By day, Kaily plays conservative wife and soccer mom, but at night crafts hot and steamy tales of romance and love with gorgeous heroes who wouldn’t dream of leaving the toilet seat up. Ever. She’s smart and sassy, at least in her own mind, and is trying her best to bring the alpha male solidly back to contemporary romance, one hot story at a time. Kaily bought her first book from Ellora’s Cave in 2003. Never in her wildest dreams did she think one day she’d join their ranks as an author or that she’d be writing erotic romance. But now that she is, it just feels so right. Stop by and visit her blog. Kaily would love to hear from you. Website | Blog | Contact Me

  124. Hello. I’m Kate Hill and I love to read and write romance. If you’d like to know a little about me, my author bio is below. I love talking to other readers and writers, so please feel free to email me at any time or post questions and comments in this forum. Thank you! What do trips around the world, endless nights of breathtaking sex, and a muscular, 6-foot 3-inch, brown-haired, blue-eyed significant other have to do with Kate Hill? Absolutely nothing, but she can dream, can't she? In reality Kate is a single, thirty-something vegetarian New Englander who loves writing romantic fantasies. Currently, she might not be traveling around the world, but Kate has visited Europe and Africa and those beautiful places have been wonderful inspiration for her writing. While working at various times as a clerk, assistant karate instructor, house painter and banker, Kate dreamed of being an author. In 1996 her first short story was accepted for publication and since then she has sold over ninety short stories, novellas and novels. Kate's stories, The Chieftain's Bride and Vampire Master, have won The Romance Studio's CAPA and in 2002 her vampire novel, The Immaculate, was nominated for a Romantic Times Reviewers' Choice Award. When she's not working on her books, Kate enjoys reading, working out, and researching vampires and Viking history. You can visit her online here.

  127. Desiree Holt’s writing is flavored with the rich experiences of her life, including a long stretch in the music business representing every kind of artist from country singer to heavy metal rock bands. For several years she also ran her own public relations agency handling any client that interested her, many of whom might recognize themselves in the pages of her stories. She is twice a finalist for an EPIC E-Book Award, a nominee for a Romantic Times Reviewers Choice Award, winner of the first 5 Heart Sweetheart of the Year Award at The Romance Studio as well as twice a CAPA Award for best BDSM book of the year, winner of two Holt Medallion Awards of Merit, multiple winner of the Whipped Cream Book of the Week Award and is published by five different houses. 128. Anne Hope is the author of emotionally intense romances with a twist—a twist of humor, a twist of suspense, a twist of magic.

As a child, Anne had the nasty habit of scaring her friends and little cousins with stories of witches and vampires. Eventually, she realized that at the heart of every dark tale a compelling romance waits to be told. Now, all her stories are about the redeeming power of love and the heart’s incredible ability to heal…with a scare or two thrown in for good measure.

Her paranormal romantic thriller Soul Bound, Book One in her Dark Souls series, received a Top Pick from RT and was selected as a 2012 RT Reviewers’ Choice Award nominee. She lives in Montreal, Canada, with her husband, her two kids, a well-fed cat and a rambunctious Australian Kelpie.

  130. Sarah A. Hoyt writes science fiction, fantasy, historical fantasy, historical fiction and mystery, but truly all of them are romances.  Whether the love interest is a were-dragon, a bioengineered spaceship pilot with cat eyes or the man she refers to as Officer Hotstuff, he always has the main character's number.  Just as well the main character will make him work er... hard for it.  They emerge on the other side as better people and worthy of happiness.  (Mind you most of them start out with issues that have issues and come home dragging issues.) A fan recently told Sarah that reading the samples on her web page was like the three faces of Eve.  Sarah hopes it's not quite that scary, but at any given time, her mind might skid from history to really hot were lions to -- oh, look, a bird -- vampire musketeers, to the latest news of the supernatural/strange.  She'll post news, events, contests AND the occasional snippet or story, published or unpublished.  The one things she's never been accused of is being boring.  (In fact, some of her teachers would have loved it if she WERE boring.  Now she thinks about it, her parents too.)  Come in and Carpe Diem* *Latin, for Carps are noisy fish -- did we mention Sarah is chock full of culture?  You can tell because her posts have footnotes! 134. Welcome! I still can't believe I'm here! I've wanted to be an author from the time I was ten. It's only taken me twenty-seven years to get here, but you know what they say…better late than never! I've been writing for as long as I can remember. As a child, I always had a notebook and pen with me and as an adult, the laptop is never far. I've been jotting down short stories for years. The plots and dialog have always played out in my head, but I never knew what to do with them. I never thought to have anyone else read them. That all changed about two years ago when I found a fan fiction website and decided to spin my own version of a popular vampire series. It was a challenge to myself to see if I could actually put a story together from beginning to end. Its one thing to store your work on your hard drive and read it yourself, but it's an entirely different game to put it out there for thousands of strangers to see. I was reading all of this wonderful fiction from women just like me. We weren't necessarily professional writers, but we had a passion to tell a story and through that common interest we spun amazingly interesting tales. (We still do!). Had it not been for the success I found in that forum or the friends I made on-line, I never would've had the courage to take the next step. I decided it was time to focus on my own novels, and here I am, excited to share it with all of you. My books are steamy but possess a strong romantic plot and I always deliver the HEA! So, come on in and see what I'm up to!

  137. Do you enjoy a page turner mystery/suspense novel set on a beautiful Caribbean island with family secrets bursting to explode? If so you will love my newly released debut fiction novel, Desperate Measures. If you don't believe me read the following review from my editor: "Review by Cher Green: Cindy Cromer debuts with a real page turner. Just when you think you’ve figured it all out, a new twist appears and sends you in another direction. Keep guessing, but you’ll never guess who the villain is." Now that I've captured your attention, at least I hope I did, I'd like to introduce myself. I'm Cindy Huefner Cromer, a chemist and president of a network of laboratories. I have written numerous laboratory procedures, documents, and research papers. As an avid reader of mystery/suspense, I dreamed of writing a book one day. Now my dream has become a reality. I utilize my scientific and executive background as a foundation of the plot and creation of the characters but limit the use of acronyms and don't bombard the reader with too much scientific jargon. I have also written a few light comedy scenes to give the reader a break from the mounting suspense. I'm currently finishing my second book, Desperate Deceptions, and have books three and four in draft format.

  142. Rhonda Jackson Joseph has always been an avid, equal opportunity reader. One of her early forays into writing was during junior high school when she produced numerous romance short stories in which she and her best girlfriends were the heroines. The stories were circulated and garnered quite a following. Thus, she found that romance writing came rather natural to her.

Her focus shifted toward horror writing when the elevated hormone levels in her body during pregnancy brought on terrifying nightmares during the scant hours she could find sleep. The dreams demanded to be placed on paper, and she hoped they would then be exorcised. To no avail, as they never completely disappeared. In fact, they multiplied.

  145. New York Times bestselling author Shirley Jump didn't have the willpower to diet nor the talent to master under-eye concealer, so she bowed out of a career in television and opted instead for a career where she could be paid to eat at her desk--writing. She started out in journalism, selling her first article at the age of eleven and dreaming of being the next Jane Pauley. Then she got married. And had two kids. Humor became the only thing that got her through the mashed potato flingfests and toilet paper decorating sprees. At first, seeking revenge on her children for their grocery store tantrums, she sold embarrassing essays about her children to anthologies such as Chicken Soup for the Working Woman's Soul and Chocolate for Women II. However, it wasn't enough to feed her growing addiction to writing funny. So she turned to the world of romance novels, where messes are (usually) cleaned up before The End and no one is calling anyone a doodoo head. In the worlds Shirley gets to create and control, children listen to their parents, husbands always remember holidays and housework is magically done by elves. She sold her first book to Silhouette Romance in 2001. That novel, THE VIRGIN'S PROPOSAL, won the Booksellers' Best Award for Best Traditional Romance of 2003. RESCUED BY MR. RIGHT won the prestigious Holt Medallion in 2007, and "Twelve Days" won the More than Magic award for best Novella in 2007. She found a way to combine all her favorite things in her recipes with her own romantic comedy series from Zebra Books, which launched in September 2004 with THE BRIDE WORE CHOCOLATE.  The fifth in that series, PRETTY BAD, was released in February in 2007. Today, Shirley writes 8 books a year and will see her 18th, 19th and 20th books come out at the end of 2007. Though she's thrilled to see her books in stores around the world, Shirley mostly writes because it gives her an excuse to avoid cleaning the toilets and helps feed her shoe habit. Join her on Coffee Time Romance for fun, discussions about reading, writing, shopping, food--anything that lets Shirley find an excuse to avoid cleaning the toilets. Read excerpts, see reviews or learn more about Shirley at: www.shirleyjump.com.

  146. Hi, welcome to my seat at the coffee shop. I'm Chris Karlsen. I'm the daughter of a history professor father and a mother with a love of the arts and a voracious reader. I grew up with a love of history and books. My family also also had a keen interest in reincarnation and time-travel. The first question in our conversations was always, "why not?" The second question, followed by active discussion was, "what if--" With that in mind, I wanted to write stories where I could see the answers come to life and experience the possibilities through my characters. If you have a love of knights, romance, time-travel or reincarnation and if you have a love of strong characters in remarkable situations that are both wonderful and dangerous at times, then come visit me and chat. 149. Welcome to my world, where anything is possible. Whether my stories are dealing with humans, vampires, shape shifters, Fae… one thing is for certain belief in myth, magic, and love is a necessity. There is something fascinating about a world where there are no limits to the imagination. The City of Las Vegas is often the seed of inspiration for my writing. When a city is steeped in controversy, holds a wealth of history, mystery, and romance, it’s bound to spark a few tales. It is a city that comes alive when the sun sinks into the west and the hum of pulsating neon lures the evil and lovely out of hiding. For me, the biggest challenge is melding present day Las Vegas with the world my mind sees when my eyes close at night. My goal is to blur the lines between myth, fantasy, and romance to create stories that will capture your attention from page one. Stick around for the journey, I promise not to bite…hard. Sláinte! 151. My novels are heavy in fantasy, heart squeezing, thigh-clenching romance, and even give a good chuckle every now and again.  I’m not a planner.  I don’t write with a set idea because no matter what I plan, the characters’ voices always come through and demand I listen to them. So, I gave up trying to fight it! The journey as a writer all began when I was a teen and wrote poetry, which still to this day I pull out to have a good laugh.  Later on, I tried a couple of times to put a book together with no such luck.  Couldn’t ever get past the first few chapters.  But once I was exposed to the paranormal world, ideas came quickly. At first, it was a way to keep my brain alive since being a stay at home mom can be a little let’s say―numbing. It was an escape from screaming kids, dirty diapers and plain old mom duty.  It started as a hobby, but as the stories progressed it became a passion. Now, I indulge at nap time, especially the juicy bits! Every mom needs a good thrill! So here in Kitchener, Ontario, I am a thirty one year old wife, mom, house cleaner, cook, teacher, play-doh extraordinaire, swing pusher, toddler chaser after – who loves the outdoors, curling up with the latest flick, and if I’m not plugging away at a new novel, I’ve got my nose buried deep in a good book.  So there it is―my life! 153. I write 'dead romantic' fiction, ranging from paranormals to retro-- as an ex-ghost tour guide with her head stuck in the 80s/90s, I've got lots of material to work with. I've lived in five different countries, and moved far too many times to mention. I grew up in a small sea-side town on the coast of North Wales, and lived in a house that backs onto a graveyard (yes, I've got stories to share about that) Perhaps that is why I'm fascinated with all things dark and macabre.  Currently, I live in North Carolina And when I'm not writing, I can be found reading/watching anything vampire related or cooking up a British storm in my kitchen. I've left a clear trail so you can stalk me all over the web, start here: www.joannekenrick ! So, come on in... let's talk books, writing, vampires, ghosts and food! 154. Hello and welcome, my name is Mercedes Keyes and I write fictional interracial dramas - some call them romance. I work as a major part of a wonderful writing team. The other member of the team is my husband, Mr. Lawrence James. This is how our team effort goes in this soap drama world we've written. I get an idea for the next episode and I discuss it with him. We sit, sometimes for hours going through the story plot, working out how the characters would respond, which direction depending on their makeup things might head. Because he is the man in this team, his feeling is, be true to the way a man thinks, feels and responds on certain things, especially when it comes to the woman he loves, or the way he is with other women in general. While I blanch at some of the flowery language needed to fully round out the male characters, my husband has made it clear ... "You want my input, make the men true to the way they are!" Thus you have the make up of the men in this story. As the story goes, understand and accept that the men will not always appeal to the way we wish them to be, but they are all we have to work with - (smile) While the male characters can indeed be trying, selfish, demanding, domineering, over-bearing, controlling and yes, sexist ... Ladies, some of us love the challenge. Admittedly, the women - we can be a trip too. I have made the personality make up of the ones found in this soap as true as I've known many to be. Whether that be weak, or strong, victims, or victimizers, innocent, worldly, bossy, fluctuating mood swings, at times bitchy, longing and in love, tender and compassionate, flirtatious and lusty too. True as I feel those feelings to be, they will be found in the women I write about, and of course, the women in our online drama series, the Beauty of Man and Woman! We have worked hard to keep this drama and all our fiction material true to real-life - and oh what a ride you're in for! Our most dominant interracial combo exist between black women, with white males, and second to that combo, white women with black males. 155. I'm a multi-published author of sensuous historical romance and erotic romance. I'm particularly fond of seductively wicked alpha heroes with a taste for spirited, intelligent heroines. My stories are sizzling romances that capture the rich array of emotions that accompany that most fabulous human phenomena – falling in love. When I'm not writing or researching my next story, I enjoy spending time with my own hero hiking, biking, reading romances and biographies, visiting wineries, or relaxing on the Outer Banks’ beautiful beaches. As you might guess, I'm a born romantic. I adore a sensuous, passionate love story of desire's transformation to love. Hope you'll check out my releases at my website. 156. I have always wanted to be a writer but didn't actually pursue that dream until a few years ago. My main goal is to put feelings into words. I want people to feel something when they read my books. I write paranormal, sci-fi, and fantasy romance. On a more personal note I enjoy hairy chests, fangs and walks in the moonlight. HA. HA.   I write what I enjoy in the hopes that others will enjoy my stories as well. Website | Yahoo Group | MySpace

  159. Hello and welcome to my page!  Let me take a moment to introduce myself.  I am Dayana Knight, author of dark paranormal and crime suspense romance with an erotic edge. My heroes are hot, Alpha males whose beasts within run on the wild side and their woman know just how to tame them.   I was born and raised in Southern New Jersey but relocated to South Florida in the early 80's. I have written in some form or other since age 11, but hadn't taken the craft seriously until the year 2000, when I wrote my first novel, Dancing on the Edge-a crime suspense novel published under a different pen name December, 2003 with ePress-Online, and is currently under consideration for contract with a new publishing house.  My latest release, Bestial Cravings, a companion short to my series, Roma Wolf Tales, has held the #1 spot on The Wild Rose Press's Paranormal best seller's list for over six weeks now. Included in this series is Book I, Curse of the Marhime  also available at The Wild Rose Press. Also, available at TWRP's "wilder" side is Eternal Obsession, a paranormal erotic short. I am currently working on Book II of The Roma Wolf Tales series and a sequel to my crime romance mentioned above.  I am open, casual and love to interact with my readers and peers. I am very excited and look forward to chatting with you all.  So don't be shy.  Pipe in, ask questions, give suggestions, tell me what you like and don't like.  A good writer is only as good as her readers think her:)  Other places to find me - Website and blog

  162. As Kim Rees she writes sensual contemporary romances, with hot alpha males and quietly strong heroines.  Oh, and angst. Angst is an absolute must. And as Kim Knox she writes fantasy and sf with a twist of romance. She loves to play with myth and the past… but also take her characters into the far future. The heroine is more the focus in these stories though the hero is, of course, effortlessly sexy. So you get a choice, swirling emotion for her contemporaries or murder and magic for her sf stories.  Why not try both? *grin Web Site for Kim Rees Web Site for Kim Knox

  163. I write fast paced, fun, laugh out loud science fiction/romance and paranormal romances. Stressed out? Ready to kill someone? Sit down, get some chocolate and read one of my books. They're guaranteed to make you forget the world for a hour or two. Hey, it's easier than going to jail. My science fiction/romance books are Just My Luck and The Warlord's Comeuppance. The Nasty Vamp is a paranormal/romance. Bunny just found out her perfect Prince Charming is a vampire. I'm currently working on I Hear Voices. 164. Anyone who talks to me long enough notices I'm a bit on the quirky side.

My husband says it’s because I’m a crazy writer, and I tend to agree with him. When I look at the world around me, I see people and places that take on fantastical attributes. A man walking across the street just isn't a man, he's a troll, on the hunt for the blue fairy. A women speeding down my street is being chased by steam punk elves, because she stole their aether converting mechanism.

Luckily, for me, my family loves and accepts my unique brand of crazy. They even encourage me to write down my silly notions. Although my son will tell you there is far too much kissing in my stories!

Do you want a think tank on all the gestures a body could make to communicate feelings (the words)? Please participate in this list and post a new one! If you share a phrase or a word, you are sharing! Lol. I don't think we have to worry--there are plenty of words and phrases out there! No excepts (except mine-lol). 167. A hopeful romantic Ashley Ladd loves to write about lots of hot clinches with happy endings. Sometimes she draws on her military background and more often on her wild imagination to pen her stories. Don't be surprised to find talking cats and dragon mounts, travel through time, and genies popping out of bottles. She celebrates love in its many forms: male/female, male/male, male/male/female, male/female/male, and transgender - always with a HEA. She loves to to talk about romance almost as much as she loves to be romanced. She invites you to grab a cup of mocha, soda, or whatever your poison, sit a spell and chat. 168. Hi! I am Wendy Laharnar, an Australian married to a Slovenian. Now that our two children have left the nest and created families of their own, we live by the sea with our mini Schnauzer and enjoy long walks on the beach in winter and summer. My husband is a great cook, for which I am grateful as this leaves me free to write. Apart from writing and reading, I love to travel, especially to Europe where I find the medieval and renaissance history not available ‘down under’. I have been writing and studying writing most of my adult life and have a Diploma of Professional Writing and a BA with majors in English Literature and Classical Literature. MuseItUp Publishing released my first novel, The Unhewn Stone, in August 2011. Considered YA Historical fiction, although I wrote it for adults, the love interests are quite innocent, but as in real coming of age situations, they are both painful and tender. On the other hand, being a modern Swiss youth trapped inside the Wilhelm Tell legend (1307AD) is exciting, fast paced and often brutal. Alchemy, religion, myth and magic underpin this hero's journey, which begins and ends in Switzerland at Christmas. If you’d like to visit my website My Imagination there is with a widget of the stunning Swiss setting and the book trailer video. Website | Blog

It’s exciting for her to create brand new worlds and characters because her imagination can come alive. 173. Welcome! I write sexy, sensual and erotic contemporary romance. I didn’t start out to write erotic romance, but I had this idea….Well, the rest is history. I found I had a talent for writing steamy scenes – who knew?, and I’ve never looked back. If you like alpha heroes and heroines strong enough to take them on, then we’ll get along just fine. Grab a chair. I’ll pass the tea (you can have coffee if you want) and cookies and we’ll chat for a while about love, passion and romance, or anything else that suits our fancy. 175. I've always had a soft spot for cowboys, horses, romance and the 'old west', but never gave much thought to penning my own stories until I came across the phenomenal Judith McNaught and Johanna Lindsey. Both women created memorable characters and storylines that inspired me to combine my passions and pursue a career in writing romance. To date, I have two western historicals published through Asylett Press, with a third one due out soon. I enjoy meeting fans of the western romance genre and talking about all things western and romance related. Stop by my forum to say hello and gab about cowboys and the grit of the 'old west'. 177. Historic adventure, mystery and sensual passion.  My just released novel, The False Light, has it all. Intricately researched, the era of the French Revolution sizzles around the story of a displaced countess who finds love, mystery and murder on the remote coast of North Cornwall. Countess Bettina Jonquiere must deliver an important package to further the royalist cause. In England, she discovers the package is full of blank papers, the address false and she’s penniless. Stranded in a Cornish village, Bettina toils in a bawdy tavern and falls in love with a man who his rumored to have murdered his unfaithful wife.   I enjoy traveling, especially to Cornwall where my story is set. I collect eggs, read, do book reviews, run two websites and most of all, love to tell stories.  I recently won the CTTR award from Coffee Time Romance. Website | Ebook | Paperback

  182. Colleen Love has always lived in her own fantasy world. Writing Contemporary Paranormal and Fantasy romance came as a natural part of her existence. Even while playing as a child, her world was enchanted by the Fae. Weather it was exploring the wild wood around her home, or wandering the vast Pacific beaches, life always seems to hold her under its enchantment. Colleen's muse loves to be the creator of her own worlds with unusual and fantastic characters. She likes to explore and breathe new life into old legends and stories that have faded into time, or something beyond what is here and now, maybe something that may have existed at one time, but no one really knows for sure. Add in a few monsters, sprinkle in a bit of magic, a warrior and a woman strong enough to counter the balance and there is the perfect story for her. Colleen loves to spend time with her family and critters. She loves to garden and play in the dirt, work with horses and her other critters. She saves writing for rainy days, being from the Pacific Northwest she writes a lot! Visit Colleen's Website

  184. Hello, I’m Hywela Lyn, although I’ve always been called Lyn and am quite happy to answer to that – it’s easier to pronounce than ‘Hywela’! I lived most of my life in Wales, where I was born and raised, and Welsh myths and legends inspired much of my writing. My stories usually take place in that ‘other world’ of fantasy which might be in the far past or the far future but which relies on the heroes and heroine's courage and quick wits to survive the trials before them. From an early age I had two great loves – books and horses. Nothing has changed, only now I write the stories I love to read and have two real horses of my own, rather than the imaginary ones I had as a child. I love the idea of space travel and starships, but I also like the idea of a tranquil world with little technology and a simple lifestyle. By writing science fantasy I can have it both ways! Come join me for romance that’s ‘out of this world’. Visit my Web Site for more information about me, my books and my animals. There's also a Newsletter with member only contests. I'd also love you to take a look at my blog My Blog and I am in lots of other places on the web, including: Facebook | Twitter | MySpace I also have a Newsletter there with member only contests. 189. Petie McCarty writes for Desert Breeze Publishing and pens suspenseful contemporary romances with an environmental flavor. Her debut novel Everglades featured a wild airboat ride though the famed River of Grass with a hunky Seminole guide. Catch of the Day paired a spunky redhead with a sexy Special Ops Coast Guardcaptain in the zany all-male Loon Lake Tournament. Both books combine sensually-charged romance with action-adventures in exciting natural settings.

Petie's new Rescue Angel romances will debut with the release of No Going Back in April2013, followed by Angel to the Rescue in December 2013. These romances will each have an angel hidden in the plot, and the angel's identity will not be revealed until the story's finale. The possibilities are endless.

In No Going Back, Kellen Brand's inheritance turns out to be a whopper -- one dilapidated farm in West Virginia and one guardian angel.

  192. I have loved to write ever since I was in my early teens and finally decided to take the plunge. My husband and daughters have been beside & behind me the entire way, prodding me on with support… with a cattle prod at times. Lol You have to love family support! I have self -published my first novella, A Fire Within, this summer which is a paranormal romance, and have found that writing is NOT the hardest part of my dream… it’s marketing & promotion! Or is it html and embedding? lol I am enjoying the challenge though and I am already deep within the sequel along with two others. I enjoy writing about the paranormal but I am sliding into contemporary romance with a full-length novel. Any thoughts, suggestions or questions will be welcomed and you can always find me either on Facebook or my blog. Not to cool the blush of your cheeks as you devour her romance books, but to swat at those Jurassic Park blood-sucking mosquitoes when you’re fool enough to sit under the limbs of those Spanish-moss draped live oak trees! Okay. Reality check. Maybe I used to live in the area of bygone southern plantation homes, but now I reside in northern Georgia where the Appalachian mountains stretch as far as the eye can see. In either locale, my laid-back country roots has shaped my way of thinking and instilled my Pure Southern Genteel style of writing. There are a lot of romance books in the world and some really terrific romance authors. But I choose to be somewhat different. I situate my romances with a good mystery. It’s the circumstances of the mysteries that throw my hero and heroine together. Once ensnared in the evil plot I plunge them into (wicked laugh), they can’t help but see that by story’s end that…well, shucks, they actually like each other!  Visit my website, blog, and MySpaces to learn more about me, my books, my characters, and the intricacies I force them to endure!" 194. Nana’s love of all things romance and adventure started with a tattered romantic suspense she borrowed from her cousin on a sultry summer afternoon in Ghana at a precocious thirteen. She’s been in love with kick butt heroines ever since. With her overactive imagination, and channeling her inner Buffy, it was only a matter a time before she started creating her own characters. Waiting for her chance at a job as a ninja assassin, Nana, meantime works out her drama, passion and sass with fictional characters every bit as sassy and kick butt as she thinks she is. Though, until that ninja job comes through, you’ll find her acting out scenes for hubby and puppy while catching up on her favorite reality television shows in sunny San Diego. 195. My name is Chalee Mar and I am a published author of erotica/romance with Latin passion. I live in sunny Florida where you will usually find me getting ready for the next trip to the beach or a water park with my two young daughters. I also love Salsa dancing, cooking Spanish food, and drinking wine with close friends. I've traveled the Caribbean and like to infuse the heat of the islands, the scent of the ocean, and the passion of the Latin lover into my novels. My first novel, Salsa Nights, is currently #6 on Siren-Bookstrand and I'm looking forward to the next installment in my Club Lava Series. 197. Multi-published Canadian author, Jude Mason, writes in a variety of genres and adores stretching the boundaries. The bulk of her work has been m/m of late but D/s and femdom hold a special place in her heart. She's also enjoyed straying into fetish, pulp fiction, f/f, paranormal and sci-fi, among others. A picture, a smell, an unexpected glimpse of flesh, or a load of soil in the back of a pick-up, are all fodder for her writing. Her male characters run the gamut from the alpha male ruling his women with an iron fist, to a simpering purple-clad boy-toy, whose only desire is to please. As diverse and as richly depicted, her women find themselves in a myriad of exotic and erotic situations, and are as lusty as their male counterparts, of not more so. 198. There are more things in heaven and earth Horatio then are dreamt of in your philosophy. (Shakespeare: Hamlet, Act 1, Scene 5) While I’ll never be in Shakespeare’s league, I have to agree with the bard—or the ghost, if you’ve read the play—there are more things in heaven and earth than I can dream about, but that won’t stop me from trying to write them down and share them with whoever wants to read them. Every book is a journey. Sometimes spooky, sexy, angst-y or thrilling, but I love to share the ride. FaceBook | New Concepts Network | Amazon

  199. Cate Masters likes romance with a dash of magic and mayhem! Multipublished in contemporary to historical, sweet to erotic, fantasy/dark fantasy to speculative, she sometimes mashes genres. Reviewers have described her stories as “so compelling, I did not want to put it down,” and “such romantic tales that really touch your soul.” When not spending time with her family, she can be found in her lair, concocting a magical brew of contemporary, historical, and fantasy/paranormal stories with her cat Chairman Maiow and dog Lily as company. Look for her here, and in strange nooks and far-flung corners of the web. Cate loves to hear from readers! If you’re too shy to post here, friend her on Facebook or Goodreads, or email her

By the time her two sons were in elementary school she had boxes full of stories. “If you don’t do something with this stuff,” her husband told her, “I’m going to make wallpaper out of it.” Lynn’s first three category romances were published by Avon. Six more were published by Harlequin Temptation. In between she wrote The Dreaming Pool for Dell two Regencies for Fawcett. Her most recent book is The Cat Before Christmas, a Christmas novella available on Kindle.    In 2003 Lynn received the Reviewers Choice Award for Best Contemporary Romance from Romantic Times Magazine for Mother of the Bride, her first romantic comedy published by Ballantine. She is also a 3-time finalist for the Romance Writers of America’s RITA award. She has published sixteen books and two novellas. Otherwise, her life is pretty much like yours. 206. Humorous romantic comedy that skirts the cliff of sexual expression, but never takes the plunge. That would be my writing “style”. My contemporary romances are not “sweet” but they aren’t “dirty” either. What would be the middle ground? SUMMERLAND, my debut novel released through Noble Romance has a bit of sweet, a touch of steam and a lot of laughter. My name is Desi (D.B.) Moon. I have been a freelance (content) writer for four years, but a fiction writer since I could hold a pencil. My first short story (at the age of seven) was deemed morbid by my parents. I have been pushing the envelope ever since. I reside in beautiful Boulder, Colorado with my enchanting husband, two irritatingly charming children, three very entitled cats and one hopelessly neurotic, but none the less lovable Beagler. When not corralling or arguing with the voices in my head (ie. my characters) I work as a dog trainer, am a vet tech student, and am an all around coffee snob. Life took me on a bit of a detour, but now I can finally say I’m published. So many more stories are rattling around in this head of mine and I can’t wait to share them. I strive to make my stories fun, yet my hope is that my readers will find something of value in the message of my character’s journey.

She read all the Famous Five mysteries by Enid Blyton before graduating to Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys. As happens with children, Shelley grew up and boys distracted her from childhood dreams. 217. I write sensual and erotic tales of romance with lashings of treachery and intrigue. There’s often a villain you’ll love to hate but there’s always a super hot hero and a well-matched, deserving heroine. I love the Regency but also set my stories during times of great historical upheaval. I love chatting with readers and other authors and would love you to stop by to say hello or share some interesting historical fact. Who knows, it could trigger a whole new story idea!

  219. I think I’d be in the majority if I said I like to see the good guys or girls come out on top, when I read a book or see a movie. Very few of us want to see the bully, the cheater, or the manipulator win. That’s one reason I love to read about people of faith who find the strength to overcome obstacles and defeat the odds against them. Sure, villains make the story more interesting, but should they win -- naw, not in my book. Speaking of books, I wanted my first romance to be in a romantic setting with a bit of suspense with a handsome, strong hero who wins over a headstrong woman who said she’d never date again after her fiancé, a no-good louse, broke her heart. When I’m not writing or reading I like to swim, walk on the beach and visit with my friends and family. People watching can be fun too. Website | Blog

  223. Greetings...I'm Eva Pasco, the Chick Lit Queen for Boomer Babes, confirming that love, passion, and adventure remain integral parts of a woman's life at any age.  Tired of reading stories exonerating women of financial means who forsook it all in the Second Act of Life to take up sky diving, mountain climbing, or seeking mysticism in Tibet,  I took a look around.  The women in my circle have commitments, obligations, and reservations about jumping outside the box.  Instead, we scrabble up the sides to peer over the edges.  That's when Carla Matteo stepped into my field of vision with all of her quirks, inhibitions, anxieties, and fears.  The seeds for my Romance/Women's Fiction novel, UNDERLYING NOTES,  were sown. More than a cocktail for hot flashes and fluctuating libido, UNDERLYING NOTES is grounded in reality, littered with debris from the Sixties, and driven by Carla's fragrance addiction. The "juice" offers incentive for her to find her own niche during a midlife renaissance, while the ominous rose note in Paloma Picasso forces her to confront a troubled past. Visit me on MySpace

I especially enjoy writing stories that are a mash-up of genres, and I refuse to stay put in any one genre! Where's the fun in that? That other Claire? Well, she holds multiple professional credentials related to the field of radiation oncology and a graduate degree in psychology. Both personalities share a love of taking classes in English literature and reading in many genres as well as getting inked and admiring biker dudes from afar. When no new reading material is readily at hand for whatever reason, my children have caught me reading cereal box-tops to fill the void. 235. I was raised in Europe and moved to the Southwest a while back, where the romance of the desert called and keep me tight in it's embrace.  I write Paranormal romances that are steeped with European fantasy and ancient  fairytale realms and modern times, just enough to make anyone wonder what lurks beyond the realm of our own sanity.  Who would ever consider crossing paths with a vampire harboring a secret yearning for redemption? What of a ghost hunter that harbors a secret so deep and dark that even his television viewers haven't realized he's a centuries old gatherer of souls?  If paranormal isn't quite your thing, there's always the enchanting Dante, from My Lord Raven.  Can a man be haunted by dreams of a true love he's never met?  Stop by, visit with me...you don't know what you might find... 236. Writing is my passion. Since I like a variety of books, I write a variety. I have time-travel romances, historical romances and fantasy romances that are mostly historical. One of my time-travels is a contemporary with an 1886 gun-slinging heroine thrown into the present day. I also have a contemporary romantic suspense that received a highly sensual rating that thrilled me. I write romances that anyone can read and are not x-rated. When I’m not writing romances, I write fantasy short stories that are set in the world of Augeas which is filled with magic and intrigue. I love the idea of magic and use it whenever I can. My newest release is a historical mystery. There is a romance in it, but the Dressed for Dying is more about the catching the killer. If you like a story with love, suspense and maybe some paranormal aspects, drop by and check-out my stories. Visit my website

  237. My name is Jerry Race. I'm a writer as well as a reader. In 2000 I became serious about writing and became a member of an online writers workshop & I'm still there. Each member helps the other to better their writing and I've learned a great deal from that workshop. I also belong to a couple of wonder yahoo groups. All members in each group help each other. Anyway, I've gotten a couple of horror short stories sold. Plus I've completed my 1st novel MS and have an agent waiting for it. Plus I'm writing my 1st MM romantic erotica novel MS. Since  I like a lot of genre I'm dabbling in: horror, suspense, romantic suspense and maybe one day a comedy or even a mystery or two. So, if you like what you see in my forum please let me know. I like good feedback. Don't we all.. Visit my web site!

  241. Sara Reinke's mother will tell you she began writing stories almost from the moment she could toddle upright. Her debut fantasy, "Book of Days," from Double Dragon Publishing was named one of the top 10 sci-fi/fantasy titles of 2005 in the Preditors & Editors Readers Poll and a finalist in the Dream Realm Awards. She has followed up that success with four best-selling sequels to date. She parlayed a love of history into her writing, and in 2006, sold her first historical romance, "An Unexpected Engagement" to Medallion Press for February, 2007 release. A science-fiction thriller, "Tethers" is available in ebook from Samhain Publishing and will also be out in paperback in February, 2007. Sara has also explored other genres, and fallen in love with the world of vampires, psychics, shapeshifters and psychos that comprise paranormal romance. Her Kensington Publishing/Zebra debut, "Dark Thirst," about a vampire who longs to be human, will hit bookstore shelves in July, 2007. She is a wife and mother to a toddler, hates dusting, loves anything with carbohydrates and is on a personal quest to find the world’s best cheeseburger. 242. Hello readers! I write erotic romance, often paranormal, although I throw in some contemporary as well. I’ve been writing as long as I can remember, and I’ve been a full time writer for the last few years. My books are red hot, and often include ménages. Expect some kink, some male/male sex in the context of the ménage, frank language, and a whole lot of sizzling sex. I love to include elements of magic in my stories, and my characters are often witches. You can check out my website here and my blog here.

  244. Judith Rochelle writes contemporary romance, mostly romantic suspense. I live in the Texas Hill Country, surrounded by hunky cowboys, gorgeous landscapes and an oversupply of alpha males. I live with my three cats, a herd of deer, a raccoon named Ralph and a pair of roadrunners named Katherine and Eugene. When I’m not writing I read, watch football and collect wine. My imagination never shuts off so if you see me out and about I’m usually being nosy about the people around me and scribbling in a journal I carry with me. Also, my friends laugh because a lot of my ideas come to me in the shower. I should probably spend more time in there. Website

  245. I was born and raised in the suburbs of D.C, and now reside in the south with (sometimes) Prince Charming and my overly large (and way too hyper) nutty family. I'm a Walking Dead, True Blood and Lost Girl nut. My fix is coffee and reading.

Little known facts: I've been on the Gordon Elliot Show and have owned ferrets, crawdads, rats, flying squirrels and a barnyard of other animals/critters. No, I did not get any of them. They came to me. Yes, including the crawdads. Did you know they do it missionary? I didn't either but have pictures to prove it.

Truthfully I write all over the board. When I sit to pen a tale, I never truly know what it will be or where it will go. I'm as much along for the ride as anyone else. I can promise there will be quirk, heat and a Happily Ever After.

I'm a member of RomCom Critters on Yahoo, RWA, RWA Chapter Group #213 member and Treasurer 2010, President 2011, Education Chair 2013.

  246. I love to make up stories about badass alpha heroes and the women who love them and keep them guessing. I've been reading romances for over thirty years and I'm never without a paperback or my Kindle. I'm drawn to reading interesting plots and bad-boy sexy heroes, so you’ll find those in the stories I write as well. My other interests include playing the cello and collecting antique pottery. In real life I work at a large US insurance company, but at home I'm either writing, reading, or spending time with my husband – my real life hero. We have a daughter in college and a cat who loves to watch me type. **PLEASE NOTE: My blurbs and excerpts are for 18 and over ONLY please!** Learn more at my website http://carolynrosewood.com/

  248. Endless Passion, Timeless Romance.  Amy discovered her love of the written word when she realized that she could no longer act out the fantastical romances in her head with her dolls. Writing about delicious heroes was much more fun than playing with plastic men dolls with the inevitable flesh-colored tighty-whities. She loves history, the paranormal, science fiction, urban fantasy and will spew out historical facts like a volcano, much to her dearest hubby's chagrin. When she's not thinking about the next sensual romp, she's chasing after three rug rats and reading anything spicy she can get her hands on.  I love to hear from readers. Newflash!  Paisley has a split-personality!  *Gasp!*  It's true.  Paisley Scott is the author of sizzling erotic romances whose stories are verrrrra sexy and graphic.  Her alter-ego is Leslie Ann Dennis, author of spicy contemporary romances.  They happily coexist to write about characters most of us can identify with.  Humor is a strong element in their books (although not when the hero and heroine are in bed -- LOL!  At least they hope no one laughs at those parts!  *giggle*).  They live in the south where they share one wonderful hubby (*snicker*) and three silly dogs. 255. Hi Readers! Welcome to my Author’s Corner at Coffee Time Romance!  I’ve been writing romances for over twenty years. During that time, I’ve written and had published 13 historical romance novels.  My stories have been set on ships during Viking times, ranches in the Old West, forts during Fur Trade times, villages in Indian territory, and in caves during prehistoric times. I am very happy to announce that I’ve placed several of my historical romances (previously print published) with two highly respected epublishers: The Wild Rose Press and Red Rose Publishing  Please watch this space for announcements of when my ebooks will be released at various times over the next year or so. Lately, I’ve turned my hand to writing contemporary women’s stories and hope to release some of those stories soon as well.  My foray into writing contemporaries has been surprising to say the least. Surprising because I didn’t realize how quickly things can change in a story. For example, I’d give a character a flip open cell phone and a year or two later I’d have to update it in the story just to keep up with our society’s changes in technology. Compare that to, say, Vikings who for centuries could only shout in the wind on the deck of a tossing ship to communicate with one another. Much simpler times!  J Because the book world is changing so quickly, I’m making changes as to how I connect with my readers. I am anticipating that Coffee Time Romance will be an important website for my blogging and for staying in touch with my readers.  I also have a FB page, as well as a MySpace page. Besides Coffee Time Romance, the other best way to get hold of me is to contact me via Theresa Scott's Website Let the reading begin!

  256. "Life is not about the moments we breathe, but the moments that take our breath away" Stories that leave you breathless . . . Janice Seagraves Janice Seagraves grew up in a small California town, and married just out of high school. The writing bug hit her late at around twenty. Her art always drew her away from the characters in her head, but after being diagnosed with tendonitis she found doing art work painful. But she could still type, and she at last turned her full attention to writing. She’s still lives in the same small town where she was born and grew up. Her home is a hundred year old haunted house (I’m not kidding), where she lives with her husband and daughter, three cats and a pet pigeon that is in love with her husband (also not kidding).  She write mostly romances anything from short stories to novel sized manuscripts. They’re sweet to spicy romance, or erotic. Just a few years in the future or soft science fiction. Also some contemporary.  Her first book, Windswept Shores, is contemporary romance. A survivors tale. Available June from Pink Petal Books. My Website  | My main Blog   | My WordPress Blog  | Find me on MySpace

  257. Otherworldly Tales. That's probably the best way to describe the stories I love to write. My muse doesn't like genre restrictions, but I mainly write urban fantasy, paranormal, and Sci-Fi tales with a dark edge. I also don't shy away from horror stories, because I love zombies.  I live in Sydney, Australia with my husband, daughter, and cat. I spend every available moment I have writing. And when I'm not writing, I'm usually thinking about it. Although, I do love to go for walks, enjoy watching good movies, and TV shows. I'm also a huge reader and love collecting books.  Oh, and I love to chat, so feel free to drop in any time! Website | Blog
