January 2008 - Erotic Muses In the deep of night, do you think of something you read in a "naughty" book and turn to your lover to share? During meetings, do your thoughts turn to your sweetheart and a feather, and the tantalizing results of play? Do you look at your partner across the dinner table and think of more than the oven's heat? If so, you understand the Muse--the Erotic Muse.

Bonnie Dee, Veronica Wilde, Jayelle Drewry, Laura Bacchi and Dee S. Knight have joined together to share our thoughts and adventures with you in our blog, Erotic Muses. There are no limits to what an Erotic Muse can do; no places an Erotic Muse can't go. Please join us five days a week and see how our Erotic Muse can inspire you.

A native of the South, I've been lucky enough to call both the coast and the mountains home.  I grew up in a small coastal town and would have been perfectly content to spend the rest of my life living there surrounded by family. Alas that was not meant to be.  I had to fall in love with a mountain man.

I have discovered that no matter the locale, reading is a fundamental part of my life.   An avid reader since middle school, I have progressed from the Sweet Valley High series to mystery, southern literature, fantasy, and ROMANCE.

Since I spent so much time reading, family and friends continually asked when I planned on becoming a writer. Finally, they got tired of asking and my husband and mother bought a lap top and ordered me to write something. So I wrote what I love, romance.  (With a little spice.)

Bonnie began telling stories as a child. Whenever there was a sleepover, I was the designated ghost tale teller. I still have a story printed on yellow legal paper in second grade about a ghost, a witch and a talking cat.

Writing childish stories for my own pleasure led to majoring in English at college. Like most English majors, I dreamed of writing a novel, but at that time in my life didn't have the necessary focus and follow through. Then life happened. A husband and children occupied the next twenty years. It was only in 2000 that I began writing again. Fanfiction helped me reawaken that creative facet of my life. Having an already created world and characters to play with, makes it easy for a writer to work at the other aspects of the craft.

I was content with my fanfic writing for a couple of years before deciding it was time to create my own worlds. My friend, Lauren Baker and I wrote Finding Home, and then I worked on getting an agent or publisher. Meanwhile, I kept writing short stories, articles, and novellas. Since discovering the world of e-publishing and getting my start at Liquid Silver Books, I never stopped writing. I now have the confidence to say, "I am a writer," and the published works to prove it.

Prior to writing her first fiction only a few years ago, Dee S. Knight lived a varied lifestyle. After college she married her high school sweetheart and they became house parents at a home for wards of the court. Thus, she went from newlywed to "mother" of a dozen teenage boys, in a month. Two years of living in one city proved to be enough, and she and her husband spent the next eight years as long-distance truckers. Swiftly following their trucking years, she became a computer consultant, high school and adult ed teacher, technical writer and novelist. More than thirty years later, she's still married to her own hero and finds life infinitely interesting. They currently reside in the Midwest.
