I love writing romantic suspense because it throws the hunky hero and intrepid heroine together under extraordinary circumstances and pits them against a clever villain. Although some of my books are set in the state of Maine, where I live, I write about more exotic settings as well, such as a sultry Caribbean island and romantic Italy. Reviewers have called my stories fast-paced, thrilling, action-packed, sizzling, and highly emotional. My books have received the Golden Leaf and Laurie awards and finaled in the Bookseller's Best and the Daphne. My most recent book, Deadly Memories, was a 2006 Romantic Times Magazine Top Pick and Reviewer's Choice Award nominee. I live with my husband on the coast of Maine. A former teacher, I enjoy curling up with a good book, gardening, walking the dog, sailing (if the day is sunny and the wind light), and hiking (if the trail is moderate).
