As a neighbor to Rhett Butler and Scarlett O'Hara, Miss Mae suggests you carry a ready fan in hand. Not to cool the blush of your cheeks as you devour her romance books, but to swat at those Jurassic Park blood-sucking mosquitoes when you’re fool enough to sit under the limbs of those Spanish-moss draped live oak trees! Okay. Reality check. Maybe I used to live in the area of bygone southern plantation homes, but now I reside in northern Georgia where the Appalachian mountains stretch as far as the eye can see. In either locale, my laid-back country roots has shaped my way of thinking and instilled my Pure Southern Genteel style of writing. There are a lot of romance books in the world and some really terrific romance authors. But I choose to be somewhat different. I situate my romances with a good mystery. It’s the circumstances of the mysteries that throw my hero and heroine together.
