I know this sounds gross, but they're really good. My family loves them. :biggrin:
2 Cups flour
1 Cup milk
6 Tbs Mayonnaise (We use Hellmann's)
Preheat oven to 350. Mix all ingredients together in bowl until well mixed (there may still be some small lumps, this is okay). Fill greased muffin tin half full with mixture. Put in oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden on top. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
Yields: 12 biscuits (to make 6 biscuits cut recipe in half)
Notes: Cooking times may vary depending on whether you cook them on convection bake or regular bake. For a convection oven it takes about 20 minutes.
The biscuits come out with their tops just rising above the rim on the cups. If you want to make them bigger add a half a cup more to the flour and milk and one to two tablespoons more of mayo.
Also, you can adjust the mayonnaise to your liking (adding more or less). The directions my mother used for years said 4 Tbs of mayo, but 6 makes them more moist.
what would biscuits be in england cos biscuits are pretty flat (baked on a sheet not in tins) and sweet and usually crunchy or crummbly
I'm not sure what they'd be over there. To describe them (at least my biscuits) they are like muffins.

I'm going to have to try and make these biscuits. I normally make Chocolate chip biscuits and I can make at least 45 cookies out of the dough I make.
You do realize that the type of biscuits that I'm referring to aren't cookies, don't you? These are more like muffins, but not sweet ones like blueberry and those kinds. I keep forgetting that you all call cookies biscuits.
