| May 2008 Series Shelley Munro lives in Auckland, New Zealand with her husband and a small, bossy dog called Scotty. She writes hot and spicy tales for Ellora’s Cave and Samhain Publishing. "No!" she shouted again and started running. She burst into the clearing where the ship had landed to find turmoil. Fear grabbed her, and she didn't know what to do first.
The triffid vine had crept into the clearing and twined around the steps to the spaceship. The rear of the ship was completely covered. Joan and her twelve golden men fought to remove it, pounding the ship with metal mallets. Her mother was having a breakdown, wailing at the top of her lungs. The "fingernail on blackboard" sound increased when a tendril of vine snaked around her ankle. Ted tried to assist her, but Rita fought him off, panicked with fear and still screeching. Djanjo and Felix rushed into the clearing, followed by several of their men. The seven miners raced after Carrie, pick axes extended... |
