Good enough is not good enough. I learned that the hard way lol. Editing is more important than you know. Yeah it does get tiredsome after a while but you have to really be sure its the best you can make it.

Getting friends and other writers to read your work is the best way to make sure its perfect. Beta Readers can read it and double check for errors and anything else that stands out, things that you may have missed those 100 times of editing yourself. An extra pair of eyes is always a good thing when it comes to editing.

If its another writer, offer to do the same for them! Its only fair. This way, you're both getting the help you need so your book has a better chance of getting published. Don't settle for "good enough" ever. You're striving for perfection.

And if the publisher asks you if you want to skip that editing process with them, turn it down or run away as fast as you can. Of course, if you already signed the contract, then turn it down. Opt for editing every time! Getting the book published faster is not the way to go, you will regret it in the long run!
