Tara McAllister never expected to find herself a sacrificial virgin in some evil druid’s plan for revenge against those who did her wrong,
Duncan MacCoinnich is a brave Scotsman, born into a powerful family, and will protect those who he loves and cares for, especially innocent virgins.
On meeting Tara, Duncan is instantly fixated, vowing to get close and learning all there is to know about the blushing virgin. Then when an opportunity to make her his arises; Duncan doesn’t hesitate, binding them through ancient vows for all eternity and whisking her off to his home in Scotland – all in an effort to protect her.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story, believing Tara and Duncan make the perfect couple. The love scenes created were fantastic and left me wanting more. As for the tension – both sexual and emotional – I really felt as if it gave me incite into their lives as if I was one of them.
And on a final note, this author shows that no matter what era her characters live in, that love conquers all. Which I believe is precisely what a romance novel is all about – that Happy Ever After.
