Fennel at Long and Short Reviews gave it 4 ½ out of 5 Books:
This tightly written, suspense packed story, only has one small flaw, for me. By the end of the book, I came away feeling Erin Jacobs was just too good to be true. And then I felt real mean, because she is such a wonderful caring and compassionate woman who’s used all life’s hard knocks to benefit those she helps. Anne Patrick feeds Erin’s background slowly throughout the story and each revelation takes you deeper into her past and all the clues are there, but the finale is a real shocker, and totally believable.
One of the final twists in the plot creates a heart-warming and totally unexpected ending that ensures the reader will go searching for more of Anne Patrick’s books. For those who enjoy sweet, inspirational romance, this is a book for you. For those who enjoy romantic suspense, you will not be disappointed. And for those who enjoy TOT (Triumph over Tragedy) stories, this is a book that has it all. Read the whole review here.
