Darren likes to plays the field, and has no interest in looking for a serious relationship. When he meets Tabetha, the sparks fly, and to his shock she agrees to sleep with him. But there's a catch, he has to promise it's only for one night, with no strings attached.
Don't make promises you can't keep. Once isn't enough, not for either of them, but that doesn't mean a relationship between them is going to be easy-not with vindictive ex-girlfriends, interfering fathers and the kind of misunderstandings that are bound to happen when you've only known someone one night.
Excerpts # 3
“Grab my jeans for me.” When she didn’t move, he crossed his arms and stared at her defiantly until she gave in. She leaned across his body, butt in the air and reached for his pants. Darren didn’t even try to resist the urge; he began happily fondling her backside sliding his finger into her moist center pulling gasps of pleasure from her lips until she cried out in ecstasy.
“Why did you stop?”
Darren ignored her questions, she could distract him way too easily as she’d just proven. “In the back pocket there’s a business card, grab it.”
“If you want more Beth, you’ll do as I ask.” Watching her stretched out over him naked, while he happily fondled her back side, was making him hard again and he knew Tabetha noticed. She kept wiggling around over him in payback for getting her all excited then withholding her release until she did as told.
“This one?” she asked, holding it over her head.
“That’s it, now get back here.”
Laughing, Tabetha inched her way back onto the bed letting Darren position her over him, draping her like a blanket across his body. He loved the way she put herself completely into his hands to do with as he pleased. It showed the trust she felt in him not to hurt her. Darren pointed at the card in her hand. “I want you to take that with you when you leave later and leave me your cell number so I can call you when I miss you and feel lonely. Promise me.”
“I promise, now go to sleep,” she told him sternly, knowing it was a lost cause. Positioned as she was, she knew he was excited again.
Darren closed his eyes. “I’m sleeping, see this is me with my eyes closed sleeping.”
Tabetha laughed when he started fondling her breasts. “You’re so cute when you’re trying to pull the wool over my eyes.” She leaned over to give him a kiss that got drawn out and intense, making his erection and her desire worse. “You aren’t behaving yourself,” she whispered trailing kisses down his neck and onto his chest. “I should leave or you’ll never get any rest.” It was more a statement than a fact or desire. She wanted him, and nothing short of her leaving would stop her from having her way with him.
“This is behaving, and if you try to leave I’ll just come after you.”
Joyfully Reviewed (JR)
I love the plot of One Night. I thought it quite humorous that Darren, for all of his sleeping around and playing hard to get would succumb after one night with Tabitha. Seeing Mr. Man About Town fall for Tabitha was just glorious.

Enchanted Ramblings (ER) --- 4.5/6 wands
This is an interesting story of a one night stand that is anything
but. As both characters develop feelings for the other, and both jump
to conclusions and overreact, you are left wondering what turn the
story will take next.
