Why I disappeared for several hours when I should have been here on Coffee Time Romance & More...
As most of us know, digitalis comes from a plant commonly known as Foxglove. What I learned today, the hard way, is not to rub my eyes when I've been picking spent blooms from the Foxgloves. One minute I was fine, the next my left eye was blurry and sore. I looked in the mirror to see if I could spot an eyelash or something in there, but all I saw was, to my terror, a widely dilated pupil. First thought, OMG! I'm having a stroke! Next thought, OMG, maybe it's a brain tumor! Called dh, who drove like a maniac the 40 miles to the medical center. There, luckily, my doc knows my habits and hobbies, knows what a tiny, almost invisible digitalis seed in an eye can do, and rinsed and rinsed and rinsed my eye. It's much better now, but it really was a major scare!
So, with that out of the way, I'm back on the job, ready to respond to questions, as well as post more excerpts. Don't forget to visit my site
