the excerpt sounds wonderful.I love historical books what draws you to write historicals.
I love researching the past, finding just the correct details, and tying it in with historical events.
I became fascinated with history when I was a child watching those epic movies, like "Cleopatra"; "Mutiny on the Bounty".
I haven't read too many books relating to historical events, but I have definitely watched my fair share of movies ("Cleopatra" was a big fav of mine). I love being able to see what the people wore during that time, their mannerisms, and how they speak. It really helps in putting me in that setting and to prepare me for a book I might find that is in the same time period. I will definitely check out your work. Adding romance to a murder-mystery in a historical setting is always fun.
Congratulations on your recent CTTR award win!!!
Hope your having a great June Jubilee Day!
Hi Diane!! I just saw your up for today for the June day and checked out about your book, THE FALSE LIGHT and I'm so excited! I love reading historicals!!! What setting, time period you haven't written that you'd like to?
Too if you were to time travel back for one year, where would you want to go? Too you can only bring 3 things with you, what would you bring? (just a fun question!)
Again so nice to meet you!
I love historicals as well, all time periods although 1000ad - 1850ad r my fav...
I'd go to St. Helena during Napoleon's exile-I'm writing a book about that. What 3 things would I take? Sunscreen, an IPad, LOL, a modern history book to show everyone what happens.
I choose my hubby, kids and a note to spend more time with my dad who passed away.....
