Is there anyone out there who has therapy dogs? I have three papillons who are therapy dogs. We visit the nursing home each week. If you do therapy dogs how did you get started?

I learned about the program when I had a long stay in hospital after complications from surgery. One came to vist me on a day when I was very blue after some set backs. Talking to this lady and petting her dog cheered me up. I decided after I got back on my feet to look into getting and training dogs to go cheer others up.

There is nothing like a little fluffy dog to bring people out of their shell and get them to talk.
