I live in North Eastern Tasmania, Australia. It's a seaside port called St Helens. I love it here. I've lived in a few other places in Tassie but we used to come here camping when I was a child so living here was like coming back home. The town is supported by the local fishing industry, as well as oyster and mussel farms, and game fishing. Tourism is a big part of the economy also. The town has roughtly 2000 residents with summer time tourists levels reaching many thousands more over hte course of the tourism season.
The picture is of Binalong Bay and I just hink it is a beautiful place. Being at the beach instantly makes me happy, it inspires me and I guess more than anything it is my muse. I feel creative when I've been at the beach whether it be swimming or just watching the waves.
There are many beautiful beaches around the world and I'd love it if you all shared a pic or two of your favorite, or one that is close to you. If you don't have a beach, maybe it's a landscape, some forest, or a lake, river or something. Where do you go to feel at peace and happy...it might even be a room in your house or your own garden...don't be shy...
Below is a map, and below that is a pic of the fishing boat my DH works on with his Brother-in-law catching scallops and Tasmanian Rock Lobster known here as crayfish. These catches are exported around the world live, and also sold on local markets.
