I use a pen name for a few reasons.

1. My real last name is longer than crap. It's also the same as not one but two well known sci-fi writers and I so don't write that stuff LOL.
2. I write my real name at least thirty times at the sucky day job. I don't want to have to do it for my favorite job of being an author.

Leigh is my grandmother's middle name and she loved romance novels. It even sounds like my full real name, which she called me when I was in trouble. (Yes, she called me by my two names a lot) Jenna is my first name (Jennifer) shortened to Jenn with an 'a' added to it so it flows better. So, there you have it, Jenna Leigh was 'born'.

I think of my mamaw every single time I type it. I can see her curled up on her couch with a book in her hand, and her glasses perched on the end of her nose. I miss her so much, but I remember her every single time I type....
