As they pushed out the heavy doors, the battle raged around them. Soldiers on either side of Nith fought to keep back the intruders.
Zorna's eyes turned black as she scanned the field. What could she possible to do help Nith? He was a mighty dragon. Her abilities seemed so limited in light of that.
She shuddered when she felt Torm hand upon her shoulder. Opening her eyes, Zorna gray eyes reappeared. Torm was looking at her. This man she'd known less than a few hours expected her to fight alongside a dragon. He expected her to save the world. Was he right? Could she do it?
"You can do this."
"How do you know?"
"But how? I need more than that."
"Because I've seen it."
"Must you know everything? It is true that you haven't changed."
"Would you please stop talking in riddles and tell me what you mean? From what I can see time is running out. Please just tell me what you know."
"What I know is this. You are my wife. I've come to collect you. And I've seen your victory in this battle."
"What?" Breathlessly shock threatened to knock her to the ground. Zorna didn't know what to say, nor did she know what to do.
