I do. I truly do. I worship at the shrine of Mary Stewart, and I began my career writing romantic suspense for Avon's The Velvet Glove romantic suspense line.
My first book, Like A Lover, won the Romantic Times Magazine New Romantic Suspence Author award. Yes, suspense is misspelled on the trophy. You gotta love a writing award that's misspelled. Avon also published my next two books, Tainted Gold and A Lover's Gift.
So far as I know these three books are no longer available in print, anywhere. If you find a copy, good for you! They'll be back as ebooks, but I'm not sure when.
I wrote The Patriot and Aftershock for Harlequin Temptation. These were two of my most popular books with readers then, and now they're two of my most popular books with e-books readers. That's really exciting to me.
I still get emails (and occasional letters) asking when I'm going to write a book about Max and a book about Conan. My answer is, "I'm thinking about it." I almost -- I think; I'm outlining the idea -- have a book figured out.
The Patriot and Aftershock both contain lots of action and have high concept plots -- the fate of the world hangs in the balance. Books like this are also called romantic adventure. That tag fits, but at their heart both The Patriot and Aftershock are romantic suspense.
I hope you'll enjoy reading about them.
