We all need a few laughs, and I have found that humor is essential in dark fiction. Of course it has to flow with the story, and is often of the ironic or satirical type, but the characters sometimes need a break. And the author and the readers as well.

I use humor a lot. The snarky New York style in particular. Alice's Miss Foster's Folly uses humor to enhance the characters' actions. Andrew's humor in The Doe and The Dragon is a welcome respite.

Stay tuned for some excerpts. And remember, there are daily prizes still open on 4 of 6 threads!

Congratulations to our two winners so far.
