Xwriter New Member, Kathryn Freeman - hello from sunny (yes, it is) England

Hello everyone. I was born in Wallingford, England and have spent most of my life living in a village outside Windsor. A former pharmacist, Iím now a medical writer who also loves to write romance (Iím published with Choc Lit). Some days a racing heart is a medical condition, others itís the reaction to a hunky heroÖ

Iíve two teenage boys and a husband who asks every Valentineís Day whether he has to bother buying a card again this year (yes, he does) so the romance in my life is all in my head, or the books that I read. I look forward to virtually meeting you all.

Hello Holly - thanks for your reply and yes in the beginning my husband did read my books. Well, I say read - he edited them. Comments such as "her heart raced - isn't that tachycardia? Shouldn't she get that checked out?" and "Her eyes dropped to his hands - I hope she picked them up again." Needless to say, he hasn't read any since...!

Well as an editor, he is right about the eyes bit, but i can say even my level of sarcasm in editing isn't that bad

Lovely to hear from you Deborah. I've been writing officially (ie I gave up permanent work to go self-employed so a could juggle medical writing and writing romance!) for just over two years, but unofficially (at weekends and in the evenings!) for several more years than that. How about you? Have you many books published so far?

It's great that you are able to devote so much time to your writing Kathryn . I've been writing for about 15 years now Started when my eldest was little. It's something (along with reading) that I've always enjoyed. I currently have two titles published with Solstice Publishing.

Good on you - I'll check your books out Deborah. I only have one at the moment (released two months ago), but another coming out in July - both with Choc Lit. I'm following you on twitter now so I'll keep updated! Good luck with your writing - its like a big brave new world to me!
