I'm so happy to be a part of this community I'm a romance writer from South Asia, specifically, Pakistan. How is South Asian romance different? Well, there are many similarities, like alpha heroes, plots that work equally well, eg. marriage of convenience, enemies to lovers, revenge to love, etc. but then there are plots like arranged marriages, second chances for widowed and divorced women which are still not as simple as you'd think. There are cultural, religious and social status issues unfamiliar in the West. So all in all, not so different that a Western audience would feel alienated, but different enough to pique interest (I hope ) I've been e-published with Indireads. Two novellas, Haveli and The Contract are out. Haveli is available on Amazon and The Contract will be going up soon.
Here's to romance!
