Hunter Callahan has no desire to marry a pampered snob raised to navigate the social scene of New York City. He needs a woman willing to pitch in and help around the ranch, a woman like the housekeeper newly hired by the Callahan clan. Hunter knows he is promised to another. Unfortunately, he is having a hard time convincing his heart and body to commit to a Warren he has never met.
Tiffany is drawn to Hunter from the moment they meet. She does not want to like him, yet the more time she spends in his company the more she thinks that marrying to end the feud may not be such a bad idea. As the time grows closer for the feud-ending marriage to take place, events set in motion long years before come to a head. If both families cannot get a grip on the past, their hopes for the future will come to dust.
Ms. Lindsey delivers another Western full of loveable characters, passion and plenty of action. Though readers will enjoy watching the sparks fly between Tiffany and Hunter, the final climax is just a little too easily solved. I also hope to see more about some of the delightful secondary cast members. Definitely a success for Ms. Lindsey’s fiftieth romance to date.
