And while fun-in-the-sun and BBQ's may be the highlights of the weekend, as a veteran (it's true folks...I was in the Army), I ask that you please remember our service men and women - past and present - who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.

And to those outside the US - while we remember our soldiers, sailors and airmen - I remember yours as well. Rarely have we fought alone - from the American Revolution to Afganistan and Iraq - service members from other countries have always been there in the thick of it with us.
