After Riley Jenson wakes up in a deserted alley dazed and confused, she must use her superhuman strength and paranormal abilities to escape from some pretty nasty creatures. Being both vampire and werewolf definitely has its advantages. When Riley stumbles upon a stable full of horse shifters, she cannot just leave them there. Releasing them from their imprisonment results in Riley meeting what must be one of the sexiest men she ever met.
As a horse shifter, Kade usually has a herd of mares that keep him pretty content. However, after being locked up on the breeding farm for so long, he is definitely ready for a woman and some fun. Riley more than fills the bill. She is both beautiful and dangerous; a lethal combination.
When Riley regains consciousness on a breeding farm that doubles as a secret research facility, she must do her best to escape the clutches of her captors. After being rescued by her brother and their colleagues, she is determined to find out who was behind her kidnapping. She would also like to know why members of the paranormal population are being used as research guinea pigs. Her quest takes her through werewolf night clubs and into more trouble than she bargained for. The situation also causes Riley to make an unusual deal with an ex lover. Misha has the information concerning the secret labs that Riley needs, but what he wants in return is quite a lot to ask. Dealing with the vampire Quinn, who is also an ex lover of Riley's, is no picnic either. Will she be able to solve the puzzle and handle all of the issues concerning the men in her life at the same time?
Traditional romance novels usually have a happily ever after ending involving two characters that fall in love and end up together. Such is not the case here. This particular book is the second in a series featuring a sexy, butt-kicking heroine who is not ashamed to fulfill her natural needs and desires. Riley has relationships with several hunky men and each one fits into the story seamlessly. Ms Arthur's world building skills are absolutely superb and I recommend this story to any reader who enjoys tales of the paranormal. Kissing Sin is a powerful story that I hope leads to many more tales set in this fascinating universe where the impossible is totally believable. I cannot wait to see what happens to Riley next.
