Sharon Colson has had to put her dreams as a singer on hold to take care of her ill father before he passed away. She has no other family except for a brother she has not seen in years. A past unpleasant incident has taught Sharon not to trust others.

Jonathan Knottmann is a three hundred year old nightwalker who owns the All Night Inn. He only has one Companion that he can drink blood from. Since Jonathan does not hunt or seduce his prey, he keeps a stable of clients who donate their blood.

Sharon needs a job badly. She is locked out of her apartment, her car is broken down, and she is dead broke. All Night Inn is the only place hiring. Jonathan will not hire Sharon unless she takes his mark as his Companion. Sharon is attracted to Jonathan, but more than that for the first time in a long while she feels safe with someone. Jonathan takes it slow telling Sharon all the duties of a Companion, for he does not want to scare her. But when the time comes, will they trust each other enough to grab a hold of their future, or will another’s thirst for power destroy everything?

All Night Inn literally sucks you in from beginning to end. I love Sharon and Jonathan, and Ms. Miller was able to give them dimension that brought them to life, making their presence brighter than any full moon. The addition cast of shape shifters and nightwalkers add to the story with their sense of humor and deviousness. Within the story, Ms. Miller was able to show the parafolks differences from the norms but showed that they are people too. All Night Inn is one story that I will enjoy reading over and over.
