When Matthew met Dulcie it was love at first sight. Even after a decade of marriage their love is hotter than ever and the sex sinfully delicious. He thought they were the perfect vampire couple and nothing could divide them. When Matthew accepts a job in a respected Boston hospital, he has no idea there is a hidden lab where a vampire child is being tortured. Matthew will have nothing to do with the studies on the young child. After witnessing the suffering the child endures, there is only one thing left to do. If he flees with the child, he will be separated from his lovely Dulcie. Will he be worthy enough for her when this is all over or will he have changed too much?

Dulcie loves Matthew with a passion. He is smart and has done nothing that the authorities have accused him of doing. When he insists upon helping to rescue the boy who is being mistreated and used for experimental testing, she stands by his side. Her heart is torn, wishing to be with him, but it is not safe. Is her love strong enough to endure the separation they must bear at this time?

I loved the way the author gave Matthew heart in this story. My adrenaline raced almost as fast as his when he steals the child and all pandemonium breaks loose. When he and Dulcie were reunited, my heart pounded right along with theirs.

The twists and turns in this story are top-notch excitement, making the story a page-turner. Another great Kate Hill book that you will not be able to put down. Infernal is a must read, fast paced and intense to the last word. This reviewer is anxious to see what the future holds for Matthew and his beloved Dulcie.
