Special Agent Erin Powell graduated first in her class at the FBI academy. She grew up knowing Barbara Rutledge and Nikki Quinn but that did not prove she knew their whereabouts. Erin does not enjoy the interrogation from the FBI about her friends outside the bureau.

Nikki knows Erin is a loyal friend. She, Barbara and Erin were like sisters, treasuring their friendship. Nikki knew Erin would never spill their location. When she and the other girls are given a job to finally give them their freedom, she suspects a possible foul-play.

The FBI suspects a mole in the system and rumor has it Erin knows the whereabouts of the seven women, known as the Sisterhood, but Erin has not seen her friends, Nikki and Barbara for years. While the FBI undergoes their investigation, the Sisterhood is faced with a conquest. Myra, Annie, Kathryn, Isabelle, Alexis, Yoko and Nikki have been asked to do an assignment and they will receive a presidential pardon. The girls must track down the thieves that stole the secret fundraiser’s names before any secrets are released about the wealthy contributors. With Erin in the middle of the mole search, and the Sisterhood desperate for independence, everyone begins wondering who to trust.

I have to say I was just as excited with this book as with the others in the series of the Sisterhood. The girls are tossed into another whirlwind adventure, full of action, thrills and chills. Once again the girls are strong and hardcore to the bone. Collateral Damage is filled with diverse characters that are sometimes hard to decipher who is the good guy or bad guy until the end. Fern Michaels delivers another awe-inspiring book with a crafty plot, dynamic characters and twist and turns that make the reader go wow. Once again the writing is so magnificent, I was on the edge-of-the-seat wondering who to believe in this fantastic engaging read that packs a punch.
