Megan knows exactly what she wants in a man, but after her last relationship, she is wary of taking chances. That is, until the man of her dreams appears and tugs at her awareness. After talking to him, the feeling that he would be her perfect sub grows and she decides to test him. Megan has to ask herself if Steve is the sub she has always wanted, or if it is too big of a chance to take.

Steve spots her in one of his favorite hangouts. With her long hair pulled back in a ponytail, a baseball cap on her head, and no make-up, she does not look old enough to be in there. When their eyes meet, a jolt goes through him and he walks over. The authority in her voice paired with the confidence in her gaze keeps him following her orders; he is not sure why, but she calls to a part of him that is undiscovered. As more of his true nature is revealed, he has to make a choice between the conditioning he has grown up with, and who he really is.

This is a touching story, rich in emotions. I could not draw myself away from it. It reveals
the feelings of the Domme who wants the best for her sub, as well as the feelings of the sub just discovering himself. Cruel to be Kind is a sweet story, with steamy scenes and witty banter.
