Laine Marshal has decided to move back to small town Centennial City from New York City. She felt it was the right choice since, after her fiancé got arrested and put in jail, she lost her apartment and her job. She needed time to clear things up and find out which way to turn.

Josh Harding is Laine’s ex-boyfriend from high school. He broke her heart when he decided to dump her for another. He has taken over the family business and is busy raising his daughter and dealing with his ex-wife’s tirades.

Josh and Laine hit it off again when they catch up with each other. After clearing up some misunderstandings, they decide to see each other in hope of a long future. However, Josh’s “ex” figures that if she cannot have him no one will, including her daughter. Together Josh and Laine must face the ultimate question; can they build a new life with no interference from a certain someone?

Going Home for Love is a great heart-warming story of second chances. This story has such emotion laced throughout one would have to be stone to not feel what these characters feel. This is a feel good book. I look forward to reading more work from Ms. Schoor.
