Paranormal Romance
Rating: 4 Cups

Kira Bedwell is a paranormal investigator for a not so reputable magazine. She has the ability to see the past. Since her first trip to Scotland, she has been dreaming of the Highlander she kissed in the ruins of Wrath Castle.

Aidan McDonald of Wrath has been searching for the woman he visits in his dreams for years. He knows that they will meet her one day, if he survives his cousin’s treachery that long.

A trip through a time portal sends Kira seven hundred years into the past and into the arms of the man who has been visiting her dreams. She does not know how to return to her own time or if she even wants to, but she does know that she must help save the man she loves from death at the hands of his cousin.

I really enjoyed this time travel tale and it is not a genre I generally read. Kira’s trip to the past is every bit as unsettling as you would imagine, but the author does not overburden the reader with commentary on the differences between the past and future. She just lets the reader and Kira deal with things the best they can. Kira and Aiden are strong characters and their romance is enthralling. The love scenes are particularly well written. The descriptions of life and conditions in the past are very vivid. I loved how she wanted everyone and their dog to bathe. The suspenseful tale of treachery adds to the drama of Kira’s attempt to fit in in another time. The characters are all so well written that the reader will feel she knows them. You will enjoy this trip to medieval Scotland and its sexy Highlanders.
