Shanna Whelan is a dentist. She is also in the witness protection program because of a heinous crime she witnessed. Unbeknownst to her, the goons who are after her are not all human and her life is in more danger than she thinks. When a handsome man comes to her for an emergency dental visit, she never expects him to be more than human. He rescues her from the immediate danger she is in. When he realizes just who is after her, he takes her under his protection. By the time she learns of his true nature, she has already fallen for him.

Roman Draganesti is a vampire who is also a scientist. He has revolutionized vampirism and saved many human lives by creating synthetic blood. He has also produced a line of vampire fusion cuisine that allows others who must exist on blood to enjoy some of their favorite things, such as chocolate. After sinking his teeth into one of his employee's creations, he loses a fang and must find immediate help before the wound closes and he is one-fanged for all eternity. There are no vampire dentists listed in the vampire version of the yellow pages so he must go to a human dentist. While there, he saves her life and ends up with more trouble than he bargained for.

Shanna and Roman are absolutely delightful characters who fit together very well despite their differences. It is obvious that they are destined to be together. The sensual tension between them is almost palpable. The love scenes are steamy with just the right amount of graphic detail. The supporting characters are fascinating and add a lot of zip to the story. Laszlo is a wonderful befuddled scientist who is also a vampire. The Scottish bodyguard vampires are sexier than sin and left me fanning myself. Ivan Petrovsky is an evil Russian vampire who is easy to dislike. I wanted to punch him in the nose. There are moments of humor, such as when Roman loses his fang, that made me laugh so hard I had to hold my sides. The plot line is intriguing and left me wanting more.

Ms. Sparks is a gifted author with a knack for using wit and humor to the total delight of readers. I loved How to Marry a Millionaire Vampire, and I highly recommend it to other readers who enjoy stories of vampires that are laced with humor and love.
