Bonny Eagle, known as Beagle, is a cub investigative reporter looking for a story. She breaks into Robert Barron’s home and gets much more than she bargained for.

Robert Barron returns home after a Christmas party to find Bonny dressed up like a cat burglar and rifling through his papers. He has a choice of calling the police or interrogating her himself. He has been alone since his wife’s death five Christmases ago, so how can he turn down this Christmas gift?

Robert asks Bonny to give him a kiss in return for not calling the police, but things go much further than that. Bonny still has to get what she came for. After she finds the papers, she writes the exposé of her life only to find out that her information was wrong. Apologies are never going to be enough to get Robert to forgive her, so she will just have to break into his home again.

This is an entertaining quick read. The characters are well developed and entertaining, even if the plot is a little thin. The love scenes are very hot and well done, and I found myself rooting for the couple. This is a really fun holiday read.
