Charlotte Court is young, beautiful, and classy, and Robert Haines wants her for his wife but Charlotte cannot easily be seduced. Her rejection turns deadly when he betrays her. In no time, she is on the run, with many enemies.

Lieutenant Commander Matthew Sanders came very close to meeting his Maker during a mission against terrorists. It left him in a coma for three months. When he rescues Charlotte, he feels she is his angel of mercy.

Robert Haines is on a woman hunt. Thanks to Charlotte he will not be eight million dollars richer. Instead his courtship with Charlotte went sour. It does not matter that he is still CEO of the company and the Proteus Project that belonged to the Court Industries, was still his, he hated being ditched. Charlotte is surprised when she is a suspect in her father’s death. She runs to hide her identity, realizing Haines will be on the search for her, stripping her of everything. Along the way Charlotte is befriended by Matthew while she is out swimming. Matthew believes Charlotte has hypothermia and does everything he can to revive her. He feels like she is his angel come to rescue him. As they warm up to each other, they can soon confide their utmost secrets, as he teaches her to shoot a gun for protection. With Haines ready to play his last trump card, Matthew will do anything to protect Charlotte and prove his shining angel, he has grown to love, is no killer.

Hold onto to your seats, Pursuit is one engaging read. Elizabeth Jennings creates a masterpiece of a read that leaves an impression I will never forget. She hooked me from the first page. The adrenaline rush is awesome. The stimulating characters, the intensity of the read is spellbinding. I could not break free for even a moment. By far it is one extraordinary read that just blew me away. The dialogue, suspense, and in-depth characters are all well-crafted. I thought I was reading something right out of the headlines in this sharp, precise dynamic read that comes highly recommended.
