When Kelly Salinger lost her fiancé, she changed her life and now makes it about the beautiful island she lives on. She makes a living by renting cottages to tourists, something her fiancé thought was a great idea. However, because of her latest guests, she is not so sure about that. In addition, a handsome stranger who washed up on her shore makes her heart and body feel things she thought were long dead. The stranger has no memory of who he is.

Clay McCarthy found himself waking in strange bed with a beautiful woman nearby. He has no clue as to how he got there or even who he is. As he pieces together the images that flash through his mind, he has a feeling he is someone who has lived a life of crime or has done something that he should not be proud of. However, that feeling is only a small part of what he discovers as his memory slowly comes back. Now he must get Kelly to believe his warnings without divulging the truth about his real identity.

Kelly wants to believe that her guests are on the up and up and merely secretive. Yet, their actions seem to hint that they are not exactly what they seem to be. She is not even sure about the stranger in her bed. Clay needs to convince Kelly that she is in danger, that the group she has as guests are indeed a danger, and that they never leave witnesses behind. But as Kelly and Clay each question things around them, they find that they must rely on each other if they are to make it out alive and that what they feel for each other just may have a chance to blossom into something more.

Mystery Suspense is the perfect genre for this book as that is exactly what the reader gets. Tons of mystery and even more suspense make this book an enjoyable read. The great characters are well described and are defined to the letter. Each plays a major role in the story. Twists, turns, and even a climactic ending only add to the appeal of this book. I also found the unquestionable relationship between Kelly and Clay appealing. This is one read you will want to add to your bookshelf.
